It's not. It's supposed to cut down on the smell from the black and gray tanks if you have that problem. It forces the air to vent from those tanks to the outside rather than inside the trailer. We don't have that problem so I haven't seen the need to install these.

The caps that come on units are not the best at allowing air from holding tanks to escape. This can cause odors to fill the coach. Do a YouTube search on Siphon 360. It shows how the natural movement of air helps pull those odors from your tanks.

Just picked ours up today. It's amazing. Kids and wife love it. So excited it's 3am and I can't sleep anymore because I keep thinking about all the things I want to play with tomorrow. Like Christmas when I was 5. Haha.
