Just ordered our 2014 Rockwood 2306

My wife and I just put our order in for a 2014 Rockwood 2306! With alot of reading and searching on this forum, I think we have made a good choice. Can't wait to get in and start camping!

Stik, good to hear. I'll guess you are looking forward to delivery date. We ordered our 2306 a few weeks ago and still probably wont get delivery for another 3 wks. We are already making plans for next spring - -

We have the flagstaff version (23lb).

We have been very happy with our camper. We do not have the murphy bed because we wanted the 3 bunk beds. We had a custom dog door built for the bottom bunk and that is our 100 lb labs bed in the camper.

The wait is always long but the camper is great.

Lucky for us, living in Southeast Louisiana, camping is year round. We will be taking it to one of favorite campgrounds sometime in January. Can't wait until it gets here.

Just lost a few on mine as well, but after looking into it...replacement strips are less than $20 and look like a 30 min. job. Made me feel better.

I looked at a 2306 last Feb and liked it, just didn't fit what we were looking for. I love the Mini Lites so far and have been really happy with ours. Congrats.

Im not super concerned about the led's on the awning. Thats a very easy and inexpensive fix. I do alot of LED's on awnings at work, and have been doing them for a while.

Got our 2306 two days ago!!!

We got our 2306 on the 6th ! Gotta tell you…we are thrilled! Our murphy bed is great (except one of the latches is a little cockeyed but we will fix that). Our special 8 inch mattress fits nicely on the murphy bed as well. The problem I thought I was going to have with the TV being a bit further (vision problems) turned out to be not so bad at all! We have 4 speakers inside that make the TV and our British Mysteries DVD really fantastic. The flooring is nifty, slip resistant, pretty warm on our last cold morning out and attractive. The higher toilet is so nice on old(er) knees and it is a wider "seat" than any other rv we have seen. (but it does make a rather loud squeaking noise when you sit LOL). The new LED lighting is really really nice and I love the DUCT 13.5 air conditioner. The larger fridge with separate freezer is really handy and the fridge HAS A LIGHT INSIDE when you open the door !!! YEAH!!! I love the pretty spacious bathroom too! Lots of space to put our stuff, a small but useful shelf across the side of the bathroom and a pretty good size tub/shower with a skylight. We have the Create a Breeze vent in the bathroom and darn.. it really works and creates a nice little breeze. Aside from the latch that is off a bit the only other problem we had is a scratch on our dinette table. We are working with the warrant people on that (it's a scratch about 20 inches long. But, we are so happy with everything else we aren't concerned. Oh and if you get this and you get the "shades" for day and night… and if someone else doesn't tell you, do not try and unscrew the screws that are attached to the cords for the shades. They remain. You just have to PULL the shades down and that is it. We had not seen anything like that in an rv so were a bit perplexed at first. We of course did not have a regular walkthrough as it was delivered to us from Ohio. But all is terrific and we are thrilled with our new little 2306 ! I hope you will be as happy with yours as we are !!!

Honestly...that was one of the biggest perks for me when I traded in the popup.

I did find that I had to move two of them on mine as the blinds were too hard to operate easily.

Other than that, really...I'm happy with this line of trailers.

We have one like that so we might have to try a move too. Did you just move the screws?

Yes...the wall's not very thick there, so be careful. It looks like it'll hold up fine and has so far but, if it strips out on me, I'll get some wall anchors and cut the length down. I just moved mine over about 1/4" and you wouldn't see it unless you were looking for it.

Gobblertales,

Thanks for the detailed review of the 2306. We have known since we stepped into one that this was going to be the trailer for us. No other floor plan is as versatile as the 2306 IMHO.

Hi Iamstik81 ! We sure agree with you! We are getting rid of our 2012 KZ190. It is almost the same footage long and it is about a foot skinnier than the 2306 but it is not that much smaller and yet we were so cramped ! Couldn't believe that they could be so close in size but that the 2306 gave us so much more ! The bunks (for us they will be used as storage), the Murphy Bed, sofa … just terrific! It is a compact, lightweight, versatile rv and the options that now come with the 2014 version are pretty darned good!

Looks like he had a FR A-frame camper that he must have gotten rid of.
