I installed the corner bracing and the slide in/on brace. The slots work well and IMO the table is much better but not 100% firm. I stopped with one leg braced. I may go back in the spring and add the other leg.
If you choose to do this, use self tapping screws for the corners.Much easier. I used it yesterday at the hunting camp. I needed the dinette sleeping area and was glad the table still was able to be folded.

Oh, the brace is only as good as how tight the screws are. Slide brace on the tighten with a 1/4 turn from a screw driver. If loose the brace will move. If you have a thin iron angle brace I would use that. Less bowing under stress.
