leak or condensation?

Hi My 8289 is about 1 year old and we have just spent a couple of weeks in coolish very wet weather, I have just noticed moisture in the wardrobe slide and the cupboards over the sofa bed/kitchen slide. I am hoping it is not a leak, I have checked out the roofs on the slides and no apparent gaps and all looks tightly sealed. We have had all the roof vents closed, and I am thinking this may have caused condensation when using the stove, even though the extraction van is usually on. anyone had this problem? is it normal and if it is, what is the cure

...geezer...

Air movement is the best defence for condensation .

Even if it is cold outside you must evacuate the moist air trapped inside.
Cooking , the propane flame , breathing, wet clothing....all introduce moisture to the interior of the unit.
IMO keep the forward and aft vents open a crack to bring in fresh air and exhaust the stale air. It doesn't hurt to run a (exhaust) fan to exchange the air more rapidly and if it is cold weather just a short time will help .

You will find it more comfortable as soon as you find what works for you to get that "wet air" moving and out of your rig.

Believe me I am familiar with condensation... I lived on boats for many years.

If you are finding moisture in cabinets and you are positive there are no leaks try leaving the cabinet doors ajar to dry them out.
It is the warm 'moist' air hitting the cold walls of the cabinets turning to condensation.
Again... get that air moving and exchanged.
Always Use the exhaust fan on the stove when cooking but open a window or a vent to allow fresh air to be drawn in at the same time.... if you don't it is just creating a vacuum.

hope this helps

Do you think is a good idea to leave the cabinet doors cracked open to increase ventilation and avoid condensation?

I read somewhere that you can use the AC as a dehumidifier. I know ACs on a car works that way in winter days,; keep the windows from fogging.

I keep the air moving in my 5th wheel during storage with one of these;
Stor-Dry <click It is quiet and will last a long time.

It runs 24/7 and I also have a small oil filled heater (no moving fan or element) that comes on around 40*F.... to add some warmth.
