Leveling a Winjammer 3008W

Since we've been out on our first camping trip in our 2016 Windjammer 3008w (one with front kitchen), we thought we had the trailer level after parking it with the slides closed. Later after putting the slides out, we start to notice the trailer leaning towards the side with the two slides. We closed the slides and the trailer was level. We added two levels of leveling blocks on the slideless side and put the slides out and it mostly levelled the trailer (it's off a half a bubble too high on the other side). Has this issue happened to anyone else or is it the expectation that your slides will unlevel your trailer if they are all on one side? We now have to have two level devices placed on the trailer for when we store it and when we're camping. Any advice would be appreciated.

We compensate for the slides before we deploy the slides. It is very easy after a few times! Youroo!!

X2 what Youroo says. I'm still learning how to make the compensation for our V-Lite.

On a perfectly level site we use a one inch board. Always have to have the slides side high by an inch to be level.

My hopkins graduated level is squared on the rear of the trailer because of the "V". I set up with the double slide side of the TT, 1 1/2" higher than the other. "Tweak" the stabilizers to get that. Once the slides deploy it pretty much brings it back to level. Usually I have to snug up the other side a little to counter the weight shift

We also shoot for 1 1/2" high on the street side (opposite the door) before we deploy the slides on our 3008W.

Thanks all for the info. Ive learned alot on this first trip. My wife wrote the one about two levels. I started by using a 4 ft level inside. Left to right then front to rear and set the levels. Then when the side were extended it leaned. So I put the level on the sink counter with sides extented added about 3" blocks and it leveled to an acceptable level so I added another lever for camping and the other for storage

We also have a 3008W with two slides on the "opposite the door" side. We use the thickness of one yellow "lego" block above level on the slide side before we deploy the slides. the weight of the slides brings it to almost perfectly level every time.

We have a V-lite 26 FKSS. I put a 2 way adjustabel level on the tounge just ahead of the jack. I adjusted the bubbles off so with the slides in it appears level. When the slides go out the bubbles will be off, but the unit is leveled. Took a couple of adjustments to get it just right.

I also shoot for somewhere between a half inch to an inch on the slide side, this will usually bring me almost level. They also put for screw jacks under the frame to help stabilize the trailer along with x chocks.

We always set the slide side 1 inch high when setting up.

You must take into consideration that all the Posts that give a Specific thickness to gain Level are starting on a Level surface, most C/G pads are NOT level! Youroo!!

We err (slightly) high on the slide side with our 3008W, so that our heads are not downhill when sleeping.

It is an estimate and varies every we set up most likely due to what some else said about pads not being perfectly level. I have been getting ours pretty much spot on using the estimation method until this week and I deemed it level enough based on the bubble and unhooked. When the slides came out I was way off. I just slept with my head downhill......

Thanks to all that helped with the leveling problem. Now we are still not quite comfortable with the occasional swaying.

I had the V-Lite version of your camper and very early on had noticed the tt out of level after extending slides. I always would check the level of the camper prior to any set up and most times trailer was not level on slide out side. I started using a 2x6 board placed on slide out side. Also I would extend the stabilization jacks before putting the slides out. Never had an issue after with cross level from then on. Later RJD

Funny you bring that up. I put two levels on mine one for parking it and the other for when the sides are extended. This works for me. I also, for me, notice when you walk in it it tilts somewhat. So I tried to use the leveling jacks as high as I can using the giant Lego blocks. Maybe someone else has a better idea. It this is confusing I retry to explain

side to side 1". do not use stabilizers to lift trailer. bounce is from torsion axles, (on my trailer)
