Light on front left of trailer

I have a small 12VDC light on the lower left front of my 2604 that is not working. How can tell if it is the switch? The bulb looks fine. Could it be wired into the towing harness? Used for pitching, maybe? Thanks,

I had a problem with mine and I just took a jumper wire and bypassed the switch to see if it was the wire the bulb or the switch. Mine was the switch so I bought a new light and replaced it

Thanks. I really think it is the switch. If that is my only warranty problem, I will be very happy. Cheers,

I should have asked in my last post. If the switch is bad, should I disconnect it?

No you don't have to disconnect the switch if it is bad. If it doesn't work it will not casue anything unsafe. It just the cheap internal parts won't come together to complete the circuit.
I had one go bad years ago and I took it out and some wood chips were messing it up. Shook it a few times and all was working again.

You never mentioned what actually was bad in your power cord on your first trip out. Did they just replace the whole cable and all was working?
Have a great day.

Iggy,

Thanks. The switch is bad. The light is in a bad spot becuse it collects road grime. Not being sealed, I am sure that it collects water in a good pour on the road. It is under warranty.

The dealer swapped out the camp. The female end was bad. New cord fixed the problem. Very glad I had the opportunity to op check before leaving.

We are in our site and things are go to go so far. Thanks

You can always check the bulb with a meter, if you have continuity the bulb is good or just replace it. The bulbs are cheap at Wal-Mart.

RW06,
Switch is bad. Jumped across the connections and bulb lite. First thing on the list for the dealer. I did find the RV section at my local Wal-Mart and it cost me some bucks. I will definitely use them to get things in the future. Thanks,

Mine is the same...taking the trailer in for warranty work next week and that is on the list. You can see where moisture has gotten in...most likely when driving in the rain and corroded the connection.

Tom,
Exactly the same on mine. Not a well thought out design. I too will be heading in to the dealer this week for some work. By chance, do you any issues with you slide roof? I noticed on the ends that the rubber cover is bubbled up ...loose like they cut it to long. Thanks,

I've not had any issues with the slide roof...that seems fine. The front seam of the outside gasket for the slide is a bit rough. Dealer is going to reseal the seam this week as well. Did have bearings go bad in the furnace already (replaced under warranty). A few other minor things but nothing really major.
