Lightning damage to slide motor circuit on 2604
A tree in my yard was struck by lightning which caused the breaker in the house that feeds camper to trip. Everything that I checked worked except the slide . It doesn't operate at all. No clicking. All of the 12v circuits tested good. I guess I'll have to remove bottom skirt to access motor and check it out. I have 2012 2604.

Is your slide fused in the 12V panel, or controlled by a frame mounted circuit breaker? If controlled by an automotive type circuit breaker, it may have to be reset by pushing the black button in. Have you checked the slide switch itself?

The only fuse I can find is the inside panel. I exposed the motor and there isn't a fuse within site of the motor. All of the fuses inside have 13.55v.on the out leg. I'll have to U-tube to see how to remove motor.

Before yanking the motor out I would verify the slide switch operation. The switch is a NO (normally open) switch in which there is no voltage to the motor. Only when it is pushed in either direction, i.e. IN or OUT does it energize the motor. The switch is designed to send voltage one way to the motor in order to deploy the slide. When pushed in the other direction it merely reverses the motor polarity to make it turn in the opposite direction to retract the slide.
I find it very low on the possibility list that a lightning strike on a tree made it's way to destroy a DC motor without affecting anything else in between.

What he said!
Get a meter and a friend and check for
voltage AT THE MOTOR while your helper pushes the slide buttons.
Good luck! Please post back here if you find anything so we can know the rest of the story!

Thanks for the replies. I think it was coincidental that the motor stopped working at that time. I'll get DW to help me check voltage at motor. I'd noticed the motor was seemingly slower the last few times I operated slide.
Thanks again.

That's the second FR drawing I've seen this week and they are the only 2 FR drawings I think I've ever seen on the forum (other than those provided by Brian Clemens). Is FR turning over a new leaf and actually supplying drawings on request?
In any case, you might want to post this in the library.

JKP, check underneath at the frame rail, just behind the battery location. I believe there is a circuit breaker or fuse there for the slides.

That was the problem, blown fuse on frame near battery. After I'd disassembled TT. Now I get to put it all back together.
Thanks again!

Except having to reassemble everything OP took apart. Oh, well it's part of owning a RV.
