Liquid or drop ins??

Anyone have what they believe is the best deodorizer to use in their black water tanks? What are you using, liquid or drop ins?

Usually liquid - Campa Chem; however, during the hot summer, we use one of each (liquid and powder packet). No worries!

I have tried them all (well, almost). Years ago, I started with liquid Thetford Aqua-Kem, then tried so many other different "natural" treatments, home concoctions and enzyme treatments. After all of that, I went back with the Thetford liquid Aqua-Kem and have stayed with it.

Camco drop ins. If we are more than a week, I'll probably use 2.

Like everybody else we have tried several products and Odorlos works best for us. Never any bad smells and helps keep the valves lubricated.. We prefer the liquid form.

They have it at camping world and Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Yara-PA352LU5.../dp/B0000AY60Z

liquid or drop ins

I have been using Unique Natural Product since 2013. We are full timers and we usually get a week between black tank dumps. Unique comes in a 124 oz bottle from Amazon at 28 bucks and you only use 2 oz per treatment. I've been very pleased and no smell.

Dometic premium drop in is the best I have found. Cleans your toilet and dissolves everything in the tank.

Thetford camp chem from Walmart. Used the same thing in our boat for many years, no problems. After cleaning out black tank I put in a half a bottle and a couple gallons of water. Jay

Google up TankTech
Took in a seminar listen to a biologist , this product is the very best, all others are simply deodorants that mask situation, study this product.

I used to use liquids but a couple of years ago I changed to the Porta-Pak drop-ins made by Walex.

Thanks everyone. It's just crazy how many products are on the market. At least I have some ideas to start off with until I find out what works best. With all the different products sometimes I truly believe it would be easier to just change my diet. 😷😷

X2 on the Odorlos! I have used Odorlos in my RV and for 10+ years in my boats. Works great.

Where are the folks touting the Bluestreak system? I have switched to that and the verdict is still out as I think I have a breech in my black tank system (in shop for repair). Are folks using the Bluestreak also using an additive? kinda defeats the purpose.

I switched from the Odorlos to the Bluestreak system as I wasted a lot of chemical, especially when doing short camping trips. May be going back though...

We use the the tried powder in the individual treatment pouch. We had aa bottle leak and make a mess. The drop in pouches are ok but stick together in hot weather.

Dalford, how do you like the Bluestreak system? I was looking into it as it looks interesting. What is making you thinking about going back?
