You need to talk with your dealer, the extended 1 year warranty had to be done within 10 days of the purchase, not sure why they did not offer it to you.

Talk with your dealer, it had to be completed within 10 days of your purchase, maybe they can work it out. There is also an extended warranty on the AC unit, which covers it for 4 years, but it must be purchased within 90 days. it can be found in the AC manual, look in the brown envelope.

What type of pictures? They can be setup by going to your user control panel. It's at the of page on the right hand side "UserCP"

Just got off the phone with the Forest River warranty dept. No luck. They told it was in the all the paperwork that comes with the unit. They wouldn't help a new owner out. Even if I did just buy the unit in Oct. I pride myself on the fact that I always read the owner's manual for everything I buy. I guess I missed that part. You would think FR would want to help out their new customers..?.

Looking to purchase the 8329SS

That price is one of the cheapest that I have seen. Did you have a trade in? I live in Northwest Georgia. Where is the dealership that you bought yours? Not familiar with Clinton TN.

We paid $29,000 plus tax from Weekend RV in Clinton Tennessee, very very good dealership. We shopped all over for the best price and was willing to travel to pick up the unit, the next best price was from RV Wholesalers (actually had the best price but we would have used up the difference in Gas and time to pick it up). We also purchased the extra year of warranty from Forest River for only $150.00. We tow this unit with our 2012 GMC 1500 Sierra 4X4 with the factory tow package and seems to work fine.

Good luck, if you choose the 8329 I think you will be very pleased.

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 L V8 4 x 4. The so call experts on IRV2 tell me this truck will not do it. It will challenge engine and sway all over the place. Called it a white knuckle idea.

Call me old school, but I would rather have too much truck than trailer. Yes the 5.3 is full capable. Is the transmission and are the brakes. People tend to focus on "go" more than stop. I pulled my 3006w with a 1500 hemi, and yes it did the job, but so much easier with the 2500 and the diesel.

I've read this all over the place. As well as people towing 8,000 lb. trailers with 1/2 ton trucks with zero issues.

To me, you are either exceeding the towing capacity of your truck, or you are not.

I get the "it's easier" comments, but there seems to be a bit of Internet hyperbole mixed in. As long as you don't exceed the rated weight and you use the proper equipment and follow your owners manual, you'll be fine.

You might enjoy this video.

We just purchased a 2015 8329SS in the fall and have already camped in it for 7 weeks. Absolutely love this trailer. Tow vehicle is a 2010 Ram 1500 with 5.7 litre Hemi and 3.92 gears. We have an equalizer hitch and I installed air bags in the rear springs to help keep the truck level when we're all loaded. This combination works very nicely - we've already towed the trailer to Florida and back (over 5000 km/3000 miles) and we have no trouble maintaining a steady 105kmh/65mph using the cruise control even through some of the hillier sections. I could go faster but based on what I've been reading I don't dare push the trailer tires any faster. I previously towed a 29 ft 5300 pound trailer with this vehicle and was a little worried how it would handle the larger unit but I recall the Rockwood rep telling me that "everything Rockwood makes is towable by a 1/2 ton" and I'm pleased to report my experience bears out what he was saying. We looked for a long time and kept coming back to this floor plan and now that we have it we have no regrets. Fireplace is a really nice touch too for cooler evenings and mornings. We have the diamond package which is really well equipped - only thing missing is the slide toppers which would have been nice - I might still add them myself at some point. We highly recommend this trailer.

I don't know who or what IRV2 is or why they told you that but I tow our 8329SS with my 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 4X4 with the 5.3L V8. It does a great job as far as power, braking and stability, only one thing I am planning on upgrading the shocks to smooth out the ride some when we go over bridges and stuff but other than that its great with plenty of power and braking.

Really depends on where you have to carry one...Electric start or rope start.....Honda 2000i and companion with parallel cables, 40 lbs. a piece, not real big,. Don't know if your set-up ts a 50 or 30 amp. What type of camping you do most? Hot desert? Lake side? Forrest?
