Low point drains

Hi, The low point drains on my 2502s are drained by unscrewing black caps. I would like to put valves instead of the caps. They used a CPVC crimp to (pex) to male thread and cap. What kind of valve can I use instead of the cap. I would like to just screw on a valve instead of the cap. Any idea's ?

Something like this should work.

Hayward PVC Ball Valve, Gray, One Piece, EPDM Seal, 1/2" Threaded | AmazonSupply.com

I'd go to Lowes or Home Depot.
Take the cap with you to make sure you get the right size

I tried what herk did and it just leaks like crazy I tried to seal with tape no luck I tried with special pvc compound still leaked so went the route I went also the valves are protected from the elements. the fittings are a black plastic on mine and the caps have a sealing washer had some adapters made but was unable to find a suitable washer to work.

I was just curious because the identical looking valves at my HD/LOWES only come with female ends (both ends). They do not carry such a valve (plastic) with a 1/2 inch male on one end. Thanks.
