There should be a fuse right at the fan

Light switch happened to me once also.......

We have 2 light switches, one for over head and another for over the sink. I can never which one so I turn both lights on when I shower and run the fan.

Interesting.

I just remember that the first time it happened to me I had the fuse out looking at it and it was good. I figured the fan had gone bad. Next night it worked so then I started looking for the reason why.

I was thinking about this and I have a thought on how to "fix" (change) this.

When I got my Mini Lite, the light switch wasn't full seated on the wall. For some reason, they'd put a whole ton of RTV on the wiring. I pulled the switch out and had to cut off all the RTV to make it sit flush again. I noticed that there were two wires on one switch connection and one wire on the other. I'm assuming that the single wire was power (+12VDC) and the two on the other contact were one to the light and one to the fan. Seems you could remove the one from the fan and splice it directly to the power wire and eliminate the switch from the fan circuit.

I may try this; but my problem is my bathroom has TWO lights. If one wire goes to the light above the sink and the other goes to the fan and then on to the other light, I won't be able to. I guess an experiment is in order next spring.
