If you haven't already, check out the 2109S. It is similar to the 1809S except has a walk around queen in the front. There are a few other smaller floor plan differences. Kitchen has more counter space plus a flip up extension. Length: 21'6", Dry Weight: 3667. We really like ours.

Keep in mind, for the models with the front murphy bed, you get that by sacrificing a lot of storage space. Those models do not have the front pass thru storage. I think they may have a tiny bit of storage on each side in the front, but you lose a vast amount of cubic feet of storage. We briefly considered one of the murphy bed models, but dropped it due to lack of storage.

We also have the 1809S like it however, if we were to do it over we would go with the 2109S due to the walk around bed!

Agree with Emptypokets... would prefer the walk around bed if we were ordering.

However, we purchased 1809s used (2011 model) and got a great deal on a TT that looked new. So we essentially didn't have a choice of models. We are very happy with the 1809s and it meets our needs very well.

I have no experience with either floorplan but as I look at the 1809 I see that the refrig is right next to the pillow. This would be a deal breaker for me. I sleep lightly and the noise from the fridge cutting in and out would annoy the heck out of me.

I agree the 2109 is preferable in a few ways, but we wanted to keep the trailer under 20', lighter weight, and dry bath, and I like the Tuscan cream/wood floors, so the 1809 looked pretty good.

We were also interested in a shorter TT. With only 2 people, as long as we have all the amenities (microwave, stove, head, etc), we are fine. However, the 2109s is only 1 ft. longer, so no big deal either way.

As for the fridge noise next to the bed, quite frankly had not even noticed it... mostly just hear the AC and the television. I'll have to listen for it this weekend... ha!

There are just 2 of us as well, and we usually don't have to get up in the middle of the night. We originally considered the R-Pod or MPG so, in comparison, the 1809s is downright spacious (yet still cozy).

Our refrigerator doesn't make any noise - heard others talk about a fan but if ours has a fan we never hear it. Wonder it a fan could be an add on?

There is quite a lots of difference between the 1809s and the 1904. The biggest item is the with. The 1809 is 96 inches wide while the 1904 is 90 inches wide. which makes a big difference inside.The1809 is tandem cannot be beaten over single axle trailer on the road and are less prone to swaying. Regarding the prices I am sure that the 2 trailers are almost the same price. I have a 2011 1809s and I am very satisfy with the size inside because of the with.

Thanks, capucine. I didn't realize the difference in widths, nor did I realize the 1904 has only one axle. That helps account for the weight difference. I think we'll be quite happy with the 1809s!

When I received my new trailer ( 1809s ) I was quite surprised by the yellow sticker dry weight. I took quite a lots of option including a awning topper for the pull out ( a must ) and in 2011 the size of the tires were only 13 inches. There again I took the 14 inches tires ( a standard option on the 2012 models ) and also the big fridg and the oven. All this added weight and the yellow sticker shows 3592 lbs dry weight. I had a few issues with my trailer, but even if it went twice at the factory for repair ( at this moment it is being repaired at Middleburg ) I still like it and I hope that my problem will be fixed for good because of problems with water entry inside the membrane. Post us a picture of your new toy when you get it.

Emptypockets: the fan was not an option but depending of the model of your fridge there is a fan installed mid way to cool the ammonia piping. This fan runs on and off and you can hear it a bit inside. This fan is not installed on single door fridg but it is on the bigger fridg with 2 doors. On your trailer the big fridg was an option and you have probably one with a single door. I took the option on mine.

Elidh: you were talking about the 2109s! the 2109 is the same walking size inside than the 1809. The only difference is the bed on the 2109 is in line with the trailer and the 1809 is sideway. The bed on the 2109 is queen size. This bed takes 2 feet more room inside the trailer but the walking surface of the 2 trailers are identical. For your question of the fridg noise you can hear it a bit like a computer fan near the bed cycling on and off most of the time. For my part I installed an extra fan under the cooling pipes to eliminate this annoying noise specially when you sleep at night
