Mini Lite 2304 KS

So originally we were interested in either the 2104S, 2109S, or 2306. However, after seeing them today and others, we are now really interested in the 2304 KS with murphy bed option. It seems so much roomier, especially the bathroom and shower! It makes such a difference to actually see one and be able to walk around them.

One dealbreaker is if the trailer does not have access into the bathroom or into the fridge for travelling. In the 2304KS both are accessible with one minor adjustment. If we get this unit we would store the dining table behind the sofa and in front of the murphy bed (while murphy bed is folded upright). Then we just need to hop over the dinette end. Not great, but workable.

So wondering if anyone knows if the murphy bed can be opened while the slide is closed? Or can the sofa be laid flat to sleep on when the slide is closed?

Thanks!

I can't answer your question but I too really liked the 2304KS floorplan. The thing that surprised me was the tongue weight. My TV is only rated a 750 and with the 2304KS being around 620 I figured I would be pushing it.

Having been at another knowledgeable dealers lot and looking at another one of these I can now answer my own question. No. You can't open either the bed or the couch while the slide is closed.

Look at the 2304DS-two slides with a murphy bed. Great plan.

We are on our first trip with the 2304DS and it is amazing. So much room! Not having a bed down and two slides makes it! The bed is good too, it is a Serta Mattress and very good. We bought two high dollar pillows to boot. I think this is the very best unit out there. Our problem, like many, is the IR 33 radio does not work. The CD does not work, but all else does. Everything else is great. AC-codl, Fridg-cold, Stove-perfect, slides-perfect, all is good. I think the radio unit is poor quality, no doubt.

We were torn between the 2304KS and the 2503S. Ultimately went with the 2503S. We liked the bigger bathroom and the U-dinette that a real person can lay on if necessary. You can get to the fridge and the bathroom through the outside bathroom door.

Per my dealer, it's starting down the assembly line tomorrow.

i know on my 2104s i can open and access the bathroom and access fridge enough to get water out of the door with the slide in. I would have to agree the bathroom is a little cramped on the rv.

To "Prothus" and Rockfordroo" - I am considering either a Rockwood 2304KS or 2503S. What type of weight distribution hitch and sway bar (manufacture) do you have? I have a 2014 Ram 1500, 5.7 Hemi, 3.55 gears, class IV hitch. I have heard pros and cons about towing with a 1500. Towing capacity is 8600 lbs. Some have said I should not have a problem as long as I don't exceed that with the right setup. Others said I should go with a 2500. I really do not want to buy another truck. Comments are appreciated.
