Thumbs up Mini Lite 2306

My wife and I have been tent campers and are looking to move into a trailer. We are thinking about a Mini Lite 2306 but I am curious what the real world tongue weight is with the Murphy bed? The published is 430 lbs, I assume 110 for propane and battery, but can't find how much the Murphy bed adds option adds? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can generally calculate a ballpark by using the dry weight percentages and extrapolating from there.

Figure the dry weight percentage = dry hitch weight / dry unloaded vehicle weight. Often times/sometime? this will increase by 1% or 2%.

Then take you estimated actual loaded weight (or camper's gross weight/GVWR) and multiple it out by that percentage.

Seems complex, but there's a handy-dandy utility for it:
Calculator for tongue weight from dry weights

We towed ours with a Nissan Armada... 6500# tow capacity... Zero issues. We were told to always tow with the bed up... However, I towed it many times down (I put it down when in storage and would forget to put it up) and had no issues there either.

Loved our 2306!

We tow ours with a 03 4runner 4.7 v-8 with no issues under 65mph. also tow it with dodge ram 1500 2wd 5.2. We live on a steep gravel drive and the dodge being 2wd will not tow it up the driveway so we use the 4runner mostly. We Love the 2306 after upgrading from popup.

Our TV would be a 2008 Range Rover for a year or two until we purchase a new vehicle. I think it will be fine.

Thanks for all the replies!

We originally towed our 2306 with a 2010 Toyota 4runner 4x4. It handled the trailer pretty good on flat land, but we were a little concerned with how it would do once we ventured into the mountains. Our current tow vehicle is a 2014 Ford Expedition, which has pulled the trailer in the smokies as wells as the flatland in louisiana. The biggest difference between the two would be the weight of the expedition. It handles with trailer much better than the 4runner did. I think your Range Rover will pull it, just take it slow and you will be fine. What is the gvwr and the gcwr of your Range Rover?

GCWR = 6834 (6934 max 60MPH)
Curb Weight = 5698
Max Tow Rating = 7716

I haven't found the GCWR rating.

Yes.... You'll be fine. Only thing hindering your tow performance will be the short wheelbase. Just add a good WDH with integrated sway control, like a 4-point Equal-I-zer, and you shouldn't have any issues.
