nope not at all - you can't open the windows or get to the handles - the only way I can tell is to remove the black frame that the plexi glass pane is attached to - i will be calling the factory tommorow to see what my options are - I wished they had gave a brief description of what the option entails cause if I knew they were going to be this way I wouldnt have even bother ordering the storm windows

it is difficult to see in the pictures but my hand is on the plexi glass pane showing how I can't touch the handles to open the windows

Crazy

Sherdep

I bought the 2502s and considered the storm windows since I live in No, Georgia but held off figuring I could add them later if I need the.

When considering a TT I looked at the Heartland Edge and was in one with their storm windows. The fit on the outside and are bubbles shaped. The extend about 2 inches outside the trailer wall so you can open the normal windows that crank out and you can push them out at the bottom to let some air in on all windows. They don't block the functionality of the main windows but you can batten down the hatches if you so desire.

What your describing is really disappointing especially when the Rockwood Mini's really have some very nice features overall?

Good luck with the factory and I hope you get satisfaction and your money back.

Best regards,

SCannon

Thanks - I actually called the factory and asked if they got many complaints on the storm window option and was told no not really - I asked how to remove them and was told to just take the screws out around the frame - I will just remove them and put the screws back in and keep them for later use if i decide to re-use them. Oh well such as life - the dealer never ordered them so he couldnt explain to me what they intailed - now I have learned to call the factory for an explanation

I had the same option when we ordered ours. Thought it would be good to have if we did any cold weather camping in other States. Turns out they were the same dumb design at the OP's.

Couldn't open any windows. I even had to remove the decorative box above a window to reach the screws.

I put the covers in a storage unit. A couple cracked (heat?) while in a storage. Threw all of them away a few months back.

Love the camper, but whoever was involved in the design of the storm windows should have been fired.

I also purchased the storm windows on my 2011 2604. Simply stated - a waste of money. They prevent use of all windows except for the escape window in the bedroom and the one behind the stove. They are nothing more than a piece of 1/8 lexan with an aluminum frame that screws into the wall around the window frame.

What else you get?
I'm excited about ours, but we won't have it until the middle of May (our prep appointment isnt until May 14) but, hopefully in time for the long weekend.
I'm just trying to learn as much as possible between now and then.
