Mini lite 2502ks

So now we are looking at the 2502ks instead of the 2509s. Liking the 2 door entry. For some reason our boys like to get in camper as I am trying to unload. We have 2 Adults, 2 boys (14 and 8) and 2 dogs (180 lb English mastiff and a terrier). One will be sleeping on the dinette and the other on the sofa. Are they comfortable? Any pros or cons?? Right now we have a jayco 19h hybrid and we need more room.

My personal opinion is that you won't be happy.

Two growing boys aren't going to fit well on the sofa and dinette, and it will get worse as they grow. The dinette is not very large. My son had to sleep on the dinette in our popup and by the time he was 14, he wasn't a happy camper.

If I were you, I'd stick with the 2509S or look at the 2504S, both with real bunks. If you ever end up with a friend coming along (or cousin, maybe), the U-dinette is much better suited to sleeping the extra person, as it's much larger.

My wife and I upgraded from a small hybrid to the Falgstaff twin to the camper you are considering.. we think it is an ideal couples floor plan. Personally I wouldn't consider the sofa or dinette suitable for an average sized teenager for more than an emergency night or two. If you are planning on trips longer than a night or maybe two I'd want a bunkhouse floorplan

It is really hard to know if the 180# Mastiff will be comfortable but the Terrier should be on either the dinette or sofa! You should consider a Larger BH unit also? Youroo!!

We just bought a 2502KS and I can't imagine 2 kids being anyway comfortable on the dinette and couch convertibles. We have had 2 hybrids (233s & 233ikss) and wanted to get away from the tent ends. But we wanted to be within a certain weight range. We love our choice of 2502KS but there is just 2 of us. A dog would be ok and 1 small child would be ok. A teenager and growing 8 yr old and a mastiff would be TIGHT!! Enjoy whatever you decide to go with.

Mini Lite 2502KS

Here are some photos. You step in front door right by the bed, which is quite comfy with mattress heater. Three steps to couch on one side and dinette on the other. I am 5'9" and I cannot lay straight out on either. I could sleep on the dinette on an angle. My husband is 6'3" so that would mean one person in dinette. No way could we sleep on the couch. This is a nice unit. But the way we camp, I don't think we'd be happy campers with our 2 sons. But, of course you need to sit in one and feel it for yourself. Good luck on your search.
