Mini-lite 2504s and Andersen levelers

We have a mini lite 2504s and I have been considering getting the Andersen levelers. I have been doing some research and it looks like I'll need to trim some of the end off to fit these. I would appreciate any advice from you 2504s owners. If you are using Andersen levelers, can you please help confirm how much you need to trim off, and does it still work ok?

I'm apprehensive about paying ~$80 and then have to immediately cut them up.

I have the Anderson levelers and have used them all season. I had to cut off a lot to make them fit between my tires on my 21FBRS. I think they will come in real handy for a flat tire as you can put one under the good tire, pull forward or backward and lift the flat into the air. However, I do not like them for leveling the trailer. Once your tires are “ramped” into place to level the trailer, gravity is trying to pull the camper back to the ground. This requires you lock the tires into place well before disconnecting the hitch. It works but is not a good situation in my opinion. I have resorted to using the square plastic building block type and will keep an Anderson wedge onboard for a flat tire.

My 2 cents,

John

We have a 2504s and we use the Anderson levelers. I cut off the max amount and I believe it was 4 inches and they work fine. They come with an insert that is a guide to how much you can cut off. I have to use a hammer to get the one between the wheels but it is easy. They really stabilize the trailer after you get the chocks in place. Great way to level IMO.

We also have a 2504s and the Anderson levelers. I had to cut off the max on one and it's still a tight fit but they work well in my opinion. Fast, easy and effective.

Don't do it. As you've read in two previous posts, you must cut and trim quite a bit to get one to fit between the tires. You'll also note that Charliec says they "work fine" but he uses a hammer to make them work fine.
Trimming also creates a steeper angle on the leveler making it prone to sliding on sand, grass and asphalt.
I'll send you mine (already trimmed) if you pay the shipping.

Pay the freight and get them from awellis3. It's a cheap way to try them.
