FreedomTracker we have the v6 Rav w/tow pkg. So, yes, we're relatively close on weight but we're still tenters at heart so we don't carry much gear.

It's relatively flat here as well. Would we go long distances w/this set up? No. Gas mileage stinks @ approx 11 mpg. But for short trips w/n 100 miles of home it's not bad. RPMs max @ less than 3500 on bigger hills and run at about 2200 the remainder of the time.

The Tundra will be nice for this TT for longer trips, but is really for the bigger TT once I've retired and we can really travel.

Thanks for your tips. Happy camping!

We went smaller. We sold our 30 ft. TT & like the space that is available in our 2109S. Rockwood is looking at a V nose for 2014 which will improve the aerodynamics. My only disappointment is gas mileage. We get 2 mpg less than we did for our 30 foot Award which was 400 lbs. heavier.

We have exactly the same experience only with the 2306. We went smaller from a 31 to 23 footer and the gas mileage seems to be a little worse despite coming from a bigger unit.

JJ, sounds like you are ready to enjoy.

Within a couple MPG one way or the other, we all get terrible gas milage. I also avg around 11mpg when pulling trailer with a V8 F150... highest is almost 20 on highway w/out TT and lowest has been 10mpg with TT (19'11" 4000 lb loaded MiniLite).
