John, do you think I should sell my MORryde steps and buy some like you own?

Why would you even still want the original steps there?

Those things weigh around 80 pounds (put them on my bathroom scale).

And, they were easily removed and the Glowstops put in their place.

I did them by myself with no help...and the only tools used were 2 screwdrivers and two socket wrenches.

Took me longer to read the install instructions than it did to do the actual install.

That is not what I said...

But you did make it sound like that was one reason why the MorRydes had an advantage over the Glowsteps.

I tried to make it sound like my DW with the bad back and vertigo profited from these steps as compared to the in-the-air bouncy ones that came on the trailer.

waybeck2018 said "MORryde steps sure are an improvement over the old style. Great for us with bad knees. Wife oves them too." making a comparison of MORryde steps to OEM. You interjected the Glowsteps comment.

Probably woulda helped if I'd posted the correct pic (Solid Step) rather than just another pic of the Step Above.

Our Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S (midyear) was manufactured October 5, 2018. It came with 3 MORyde steps with support struts. I noticed in this video the steps had a lock/unlock mechanism (the two blue handles).

Our Mini Lite did not have this locking mechanism (photo).

Thinking I was missing the part, I called MORyde Customer Service. I learned the newest 2 and 3 steps with the support struts no longer use the two handle locking mechanism you see in the video. The struts hold the steps in place after lifting up the steps for travel.

I'm thinking about padding both sides of the door frame where the steps close against it to minimize wear during travel. Has anyone done this?

Our 2018 Grey Wolf doesnt' have the locking pins either. I haven't padded that spot, but that's a good idea. I need to have my DW lift steps and close door while I'm in the TT so I can see if the steps move at all.
Good thought.

What size solid step did you use on your Mini Lite 2507S

Rsteph, what size solid step did you use on your Rockwood Mini Lite 2507S. I have one too and would like to upgrade my steps. I am thinking a 3 step X 26" wide set should work, but I'd like to know what you used in case I am wrong. Thanks

isobar, my dealer put it on for me. Not sure of the width (I'll check it tomorrow and let you know) but it is a 3-step one

We do no thave a cubby for the Glow step to fit into. We have a 2014 Work & Play 25 ULA nad the standard steps just hang down. This is why we have had THREE sets of steps installed... they keep getting knocked off! Aaarrrgggghhhh...

Once by the dealer and twice by my sweet hubby. They sit so low that if you go off road or in a big pot hole they are toast. Steps that fold up into the door are our only other option now.

Currently we are using a set of plastic hot tub steps. They work ok by if the ground is unlevel or lowers than normal they wobble or the top step is really far down from the door. That first step is a killer!

The previous owner of my old Coachman TT had hit something and ripped the steps off, so when we had a new deck put on the back of our house and built a matching picnic table out of the same wood for the deck, there was just enough wood left over and my FIL made a step for the camper out of what was left.

Had that camper for 15 years using that step...

As I said, my dealer put the solid step on and it was part of the purchase of the 2507S. I did not order it, they did. 3-step version and it is just a hair shy of 22 3/4", that's outside measurement of the step portion.

For about 60 dollars you can add the extra handrail to the Moryde steps.

Finally got the shots of the GlowSteps in a tight spot...

The top of the step has three levels...it is in the top here but should have put it in the bottom position for the 'ladder' (first three shots).

We are working with our dealer to remove the Step ABove from our Wildcat. Those brackets on the steps that go against the screen door frame do not allow the screen door or the main door to close properly. The hinges on our screen door are all wonky and the screen door is wiggly and sloppy. The outside door had so much pressure on the latch (from being bowed out because of the brackets) that my wife was unable to open the outside door (from the outside).

IMO, it is very poorly thought out. You might want to see an actual installation and check out how it operates before you pay money.
