You got a great unit but things do happen and there are some easy mods to make it even better.

Whats 5 lbs between friends? I run 65 PSI in mine.

Congrats on the new trailer. This was our first season with our 8289WS Diamond package and we love it! Kids 21yrs and 20yrs stayed with us multiple times this summer in it. The only real draw back is there is no real good storage for their stuff. But other than that no problems! Lots of room this past week-end we had 6 people in it during a rainy day. 5 people playing cards and one watching TV. Pleanty of room for everyone. Enjoy and safe travels.

We also have our adult kids join us the occasional weekend...and storage room for their "stuff" is always an issue, but I think every trailer will present that problem...we just accept the fact that it will get crowded for a few days...the hope is that the weather will cooperate and we will be outside much more than inside.

The pictures there are interesting. Thanks for posting them. I note three differences than in our 2012. The first, as mentioned by WFD, is the angled cabinet. I wonder how this cabinet could be very deep unless they've changed the drawers (that you want to make sure are in before opening the slide ). The second is the chair backs which have vertical bars rather than the X structure shown on these chairs. The third is a table top that appears differently than our wooden top that so easily heat scorches. Ours was scorched when we bought the camper. I learned how to remove that scorch. We work hard to avoid further scorches yet, if something hot hangs over the edge of a hot pad or coaster, a new scorch appears. I understand they've added LED lights above the door on the 2015. This area is poorly lighted on our 2012.

I have the 2014 Flagstaff edition. Also love the floorplan. Removed the hinge that keeps that cabinet closed/locked and added a latch to the right hand side so I could open and close it without having to use a screwdriver.

Did the same thing on my 2014 8289WS. Makes a great place to store the hose and attachments for the central vacuum.

I love the layout in this and so does the wife. We are totally stocked and still have over 3/4 of total cabinet space inside this empty. Kitchen is full though We travel light with our guard dog.

We bought a "used" 2013 in 2013 that also came complete with a pre-scorched dining table. Did you find the removal process online? Here at FRF? I never thought to look for a way to remove it. Just figured it wasn't feasible.
I noticed that this 2015 has a different kitchen faucet than ours. We have also been searching for a good "shoe solution"! Haven't really found one we like yet.

I found the fix online for the scorched table. I approached the process with fear and trepidation. It has worked three times so far. It consists of using a towel with a steam from a steam iron. It made no sense this would work but it did. I have thought there must be some finish I could put over the table so it's not so sensitive. I don't have a good solution for shoes. If they are under the end of the bed, they get kicked out when someone passes through. We store our waste basket between the door and slide so that space is out. I did cut a hole under the bathroom cabinet, hinged the cutout and use a laundry basket under the opening. I used an oscillating saw so it left a narrow kerf and a piano hinge.

Congrats on the new camper. We took delivery on ours on 12/30/13, so far have put close to 4k miles on it. We did just replace the tires on ours, went with the Maxxis 8008 E rated and run them at 70 PSI. Love the camper and love that reese revolution. Good luck and many happy miles / years of camping.

We had the 8289IWKS (Diamond) for our first fifth wheel and loved it. Couple of very minor glitches when we first bought it, then it was smooth sailing....when we traded it in on our CC 38FL, it was sold before we completed our deal

In the first picture in post 18, it looks like there is a second rocker switch next to the landing gear switch. I am curious what this is for (my 2013 does not have it). Guessing maybe a street side switch for the curb side lighting?
