My new 2015 8289WS Diamond

We picked up our new 5th wheel Saturday and said goodbye to the MH. I noticed one tire was a little low during demo, so they filled it up. Well I made it home and it was low again and totally flat Sunday. Quick crash course on replacing the tire. I took it to the RV dealer and they will fix it, probably the aluminum rim they believe, I pick it up tomorrow Only other issue was that while setting it up yesterday I got to watch the Bills lose in it. I figured maybe it would bring them good luck, but it didn't. We are off this weekend to Chataqua Lake KOA for a long weekend. So far I love the room and the way its set up. Very comforting and relaxing.

Nice trailer! Is it just me, or is the 8289ws the most popular model ever? I wonder if the production numbers are ever released.

I love the model, its perfect for me and wife, and 5lb pomerainum. If the kids (20 & 24) ever want to come out, then there is plenty of room also. We lover the setup.

Congrats on your unit we love ours to. Never had any really big problems. If you have those Trail Express tires, Expect or plan on getting something different. You also might want to send OC a PM and see about the awning's tie downs. They bang around alot. I'm sure you will like it as much as we do and it tows like a dream....Safe Travels to you and yours.

Searching RVTrader for a particular model (current year production), seems a pretty good indication for how many dealers are ordering.

They currently show #56 2015 8289ws and #47 2015 8329ss (TT version).
Its a very nice layout for two travelers and the occasional guest.

Thanks for the advise, yes I do have the Trail Express tires, I heard also that changing them to a D series tire is also better.

I got about 6000 miles on mine and had a blow out. I checked daily my PSI at 50 lbs. It just blew a whole in the sidewall. When that happened I changed them all to Marathon D rated at 65 PSI. Your rims are stamped with max 60 PSI but there is no problem at all. Maxiss are popular but they are all made in Taiwan now to, Marathon by GY has been good to me but even those are all made in China. The tire debate go's on forever, but nobody sells Trail Express but Lionhead. Just keep a eye on your pressure and make sure your at 50 PSI daily. I went from Virginia to Oregon and back no problem at all... PS if you have any questions either post them or send me a PM, I have been through it all. You got a great unit but things do happen and there are some easy mods to make it even better.

Scootdawg...we have the same trailer and after reading all the horror stories in posts on here, first thing I did was remove the onboard water filter...just seemed to be too many issues with it to leave to chance. We now use an external filter..if it leaks, it's outside, so I am not worried.
