Question Need info on 2109S Rockwood Mini Lite

Good Morning Folks

We recently went to the RV show here in Boston. We looked at the Rockwood Travel Trailers. We like the 2109Sm, at least what we saw at the show.

Does anyone here own one, or know a lot about them?

We have owned Sunline's for years, but they are not in business anymore.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thank You

Ruthie & Billy

We toiled over our own decision of which trailer to get.

We were looking at the 2109S and the 2104S. We decided that the 2104S was better for due to the much larger slide and dinette, coupled with a Murphy bed gave us everything in a small package.

We then went to the dealership and somehow bought the 2304S!!

Hello There

Did you get a 2104S or a 2304S? I'm a little confused, as you said it was between 2109s and 2104s. If this is not a typo, what made you go with the 2304S?

Ruthie

Lol!

We bought the 2304S. We wanted the bigger bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom is huge in the 2304s.
I wanted the enclosed underbelly and there are a few nice little upgrades in the 2304s.
The mini lites are exceptional trailers, we just decided on the upgrades because we plan on using ours a lot.
Something as simple as the blackwater flush, neo angle glass shower, HUGE bathroom, bigger kitchen, more storage etc... Prompted us to splurge.

Pictures of the 2304S

Hi again, thank you for clarifying. I did not know there was a 2304S in the mini lite. Do you have pictures of the inside of your trailer, or a site I could go to that has a good amount pictures to get an idea if it is one we would like?
Thank You

Ruthie

Do you have pictures of 2304S>

Starting to get overwhelmed with all this. lol
Just looked on the internet. I think what you have is called the ultra lite, am I correct? I am not seeing a 2304S in the mini lite.
I have not found a site yet that shows good pictures that gives us a good idea of the inside. Do you have any of yours?
We may go to a dealer this weekend.
Thanks
Ruthie

What about the 2109S?

I got confused when chatting with the other gentleman. The 2309S has too high of a GVWL for us. Ultra lite and mini lite are different I am finding.

So, we are thinking maybe the 2109S Mini Lite.

Do you have some web sites that show good pictures of those?

Sorry to be a pain. We have always owned Sunline's. Our first time shopping for a new and different kind of trailer.

Thanks a bunch.

Ruthie

My husband and I purchased a 2109S last year and are super happy with it. GVWR is just under 4,800 lbs. We use a weight distribution hitch. We are especially happy with the kitchen area as there is more counter space than a lot of the other similar, small RVs. We went on 3 trips with it last year, for a total of 30 days.

We did add a memory foam topper on the bed for our comfort as the mattress is still new and in great shape.

If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them.

Ooops, forgot to add. The web site that I am most familiar with is one dealer's here in Texas. If you put Fun Town RV in your search line, it will bring up several links to it.

On their web site, click on Travel Trailers, then on Rockwood in the text at the start. This will bring up only Rockwoods that they have in stock. I know there is a 2109S on it with great photos. You may be able to find other models that you are interested in also. Every RV they have in stock has photos and the floor plan with it.

If you Google 2109s Rockwood you should be able to find a link to a page with lots of images that you can flip thru. Each image has the site info listed below it as a link for more info.

We were looking at the Minilite 2109s and 2304 with murphy bed. Got to the dealer and walked into a 2304s Ultralite and it was game over! Had to then buy a bigger truck But we love the upgrades that come with the Ultralite versus the Minilite and the huge amount of space inside. The only two drawbacks might be a bit less light inside and less outside storage because of the murphy bed. But you could never get such a spacious interior in that length trailer without it! Forest River seems to have cornered the market with murphy beds. Not sure why, as they are a great idea!

We have a 2109s and love it. RVUSA has good search options, it's at RVUSA.com - RV Dealers, RVs for Sale, New RVs, Used RVs, RV Rentals, RV Parts, RV Repairs and RV Service Dealers. To search for one model, click "Advanced Search," then enter brand, and the model as keyword. Most will have photos. We specifically didn't want some of the features other posters did want; fortunately there are enough models available we can all be pleased. Hope you enjoy shopping!

2109s

We purchased our 2109S last Feb from Wana RV in shipshawana, IN. We live in Southwestern MI. We are very pleased with our "MINI". We have taken our 2109S on trips the past year to the UP Of MI, Missouri, KY, TN, Great Smokey Mountan NP, NC, VA, WVA, OH,and numerous places in Michigan. We just love it. It has everything the two of us need, just like the Big Boys. We have camped in cold and warm weather and found out mini to be really functional. Pulls great and has plenty of storage. We have taken two of the grand kids at time and the swing out couch works well for them with a little extra foam added. All and all it works great for us.

Thank you for the valuable info on the 2109s

Thank You Folks

Another question for those who have this model already.

I have been hearing that the sofa bed only sleeps one adult, is this true?

This is disheartening as my sis in law and husband sometimes stay with us.

Need to know about this before consideration of purchase.

Thank You

Ruthie

We have a Flagstaff 21FBRS which is the same model as the Rockwood 2109S and I would have to say that the flip bed sofa would only comfortably sleep one adult. Sometimes my mom or daughter comes along with us but I would have to say there is no way 2 adults could sleep on that bed.
