Needed Tools
I have the Rockwood minilight 2104. I want make a small tool box of needed tools to keep in the camper at all times. What all is a needed item to put in this tool box. so far i have the list below
Small Set of screwdrivers (3 common and 3 phillips)
Flashlight
Set of SAE combo box/open end wrenches
Set of SAE allen wrenches
Rubber mallet hammer
socket and wrench for stablizers as well as the water heater
small needle nose pliers
small regular pliers
Should i add any metric sets? Regular hammer?Any other tools? I am only looking at actual tools that would be needed for setup and emergency type fixes as the other stuff i have a separate box and list for.

I'd add a few:
Robertson (square head) screwdriver
Torque wrench and socket
Jack for raising camper for flats
Multimeter for troubleshooting
Spare fuses
Air compressor
I'm sure there's more to come...

One of these plus a mallet, hatchet, duct tape and small compressor. I figure for misc parts the hardware store is just a quick drive away. I keep thinking of adding a few fuses and bulbs but haven't gotten to that yet.
The flashlights (+ lanterns) go with the weather radio
and first aid kit

I went by my local Wally World, fishing dept. got me a little divided box, put my spare fuses in it. It had compartments on the top and bottom. You might also need a pair of side cutters. I always have my other tool bag in the TV if I need anything else beside what I have put together.

Non Contact Voltage Tester
Quite handy when you pull up and are looking to see if the power is on at the post.

I have a handfull of spare light bulbs.
Spare spark plug for the generator.
I have a 24inch breaker bar and the right socket to check lugnuts or change the tire.
Tire plug kit. More for the dirtbikes, but sometimes its easier to plug a tire than change it.
Come on, nobody mentioned Duct Tape?

Nothing on a camper is metric, do far. You do need the square drive screw driver. A spare tire, and enough stuff to change it on the side of the road. Fuses, maybe, but if yo blow a fuse, replace it, and it blows again, then you need a lot more. I carry a lot of tools in the truck, and hope every trip I never have to get them out.
Bottom line, how much do you want to try and fix, or just give up and go home.?

I Agee on the square drive screwdriver. Every screw on the cabinets are square screws. Which I found out after one popped on my brand new camper. The hinges were so tight against the door panel that when I opened it the screw pulled right out.

Since no one mentioned it yet:
Battery maintenance:
In my battery compartment I keep a small bin with:
Face shield for splash protection
Wrench sized for terminal bolts
Rubber battery water bulb
Mirror for peeking into cells I can't see from the front of the 5th wheel
1/2 gallon jug of distilled water for topping off low cells
Plastic apron to protect my camping clothes.
Small fire extinguisher (an old Halon one - don't tell anyone)
$10 Volt Ohm Meter from Harbor Freight
Spare fuses for the inverter
Plumbing Compartment:
In addition to the 2 25 foot fresh water hoses -
Black color 10 foot "flushing only hose"
Flushing fitting - (brass check valve - on/off valve - brass check valve)
Channel Lock pliers for snugging a leaky hose connection
Spare hose washers and two spare brass check valves
Spare hose couplings (male-male, female-female, set of repair ends)
Hand Hose Nozzle for washing mud and stuff off rig and washing dog
Electrical Setup bag (plug in 120 VAC voltage tester, 30 amp to 20 amp adapter, 50 amp to 30 amp short cord)

Imho it really doesn't matter how much you take it seems you still don't have what you need.
I take the basics and if that isn't enough then itll have to wait .
normally if I don't have it someone will.
