New 2509S owners!

We pulled the trigger tonight and put money down on a 2019 2509S. We really liked the new white exterior. Looking forward to getting out and having fun!

Congrats! We pulled the trigger last November and have been waiting for warmer weather to take it out. We have spent several nights in it in the backyard.

If you don’t mind, can I ask what the final price was for the trailer. And the state where you bought it. Exclude tax, tag and title.

Love the layout in this camper. Looks like you will get some upgrades with the stereo relocation, taller front wardrobes, solid surface shelf in bathroom. Let us know if you see anything new on your rig-and take picts! I would love to see the improvements for poss future mods.
Enjoy!!

We are picking ours up on Friday. How's everything going with your new trailer?

How is your towing experience with your TV and TT?

I don't know if I like how they relocated the stereo and the service panel because of the ease of reach for my 2 and 4 year old. Also had the radio get wet in sideways rain during pick up, but it didn't seem to effect it. Just something to be aware of. I'm really thinking hard about getting rid of the capital grill. It doesn't have good reviews, and seems kind of redundant with the one that hooks on the sill on the exterior wall. Also doesn't look like it's easily cleaned. I'll probably buy a good cast iron top for it, or ditch it for a 3 burner stove like I've seen someone else post on here. I also wish it still had the heated tanks standard (they don't) and I hope the 13,500btu AC is enough. Should be.

We do really like the white exterior. For some reason, my camper came spec'd with 2 batteries and I like that because we do some dry camping. I added a second max fan and rain cover to the front vent and it was amazing how much air both put in the camper when running. I'll add some pics in another post.

Sweet!

So far, so good I guess. We did the PDI on a cold, rainy windy day. We know it doesn't leak, and the furnace gets hot fast!

Before we take our first short trip in it next month, I'm going to clean up the wires on the tongue. They're sloppy, and hanging everywhere from the front of the camper to the battery boxes and master switch. I'll pack them into plastic conduit, and tape that with good electrical tape then zip tie them to the frame to clean up the appearance, and protect them. So far, that's the only thing I've found. I crawled all over that thing, and have been out to the storage lot twice to look at stuff this week.

That's awesome news. Yes, the control panel and radio down low with little ones would be hard i'm sure. I think the first mod I do is to replace the grill with the 3 burner stove. I did see the other post about it and it looks great. The one I'm getting has the airmaxx fan in the bathroom and over the bed and it does move some air! How do you rate the recliners on the sofa?

Hardly knew it was back there...

I towed it about 30 miles from the dealer to the storage lot. It was raining, during rush hour, and it was windy. I felt it, I felt semis passing me, I felt the wind. I never felt uncomfortable. The truck slowed and stopped confidently, the hitch was set up right by the dealer. I've never towed anything that weighs more than 3000 pounds, so that was new to me. My wife has never spotted me when parking a trailer. It took us time, and lots of stopping and explaining what I wanted the trailer to do and what it was going to do to get where I wanted it. Buying an observation camera was a must for me, and it helped, and I think after a couple trips I'll be able to get it by myself which is what I want because the kids being far from the campsite when I back in is important to me.

I don't have them on my sofa at home, so anything is an upgrade over what I'm used to. I like the way our salesman describes them. "not quite a true recliner, footrest is more accurate".

I'm really thinking hard about bypassing the water filter permanently. It's not easy to access, are prone to leaks, and the element is super expensive. I drink tap water at home, but find myself reaching for bottled water almost every time I travel.

We just bought one Saturday!

After months of research and going back and forth (it was between the 2509s and a Hybrid) we pulled the trigger on the 2509s. We looked at a lot of bunkhouse models and just really love the layout. We’re having a second Maxxair fan put in (Instead of the regular vent they put over the sofa) and an awning over the slide. Can’t wait to pick it up and take it out!
