Well we got the new camper home. Love it. Seems very well made. have noticed a couple things though.
1) While sitting on the toilet (Dometic 300) the seat creaks loudly. We can't live with that so we may have to purchase a new Dometic 310 with the wooden seat. I hope that one is quiet.
2) The counter extension is not stable, anybody else notice this?

I'm too lazy to look it up, so I'll just describe the table extension on the Mini Lites: it's got two attachment slots that connect to the counter and a single adjustable pole in the middle on the open end. I'm not sure if that's the same as your trailer.

My incredibly limited experience is that the extension is stable with respect to its intended purpose. It is not something that you can lean on, though. So, with respect to how such counters and tables are generally used, it's not very stable.

I think the best option would be to figure out a way to replace the one pole with two poles at each open-end corner. I doubt I do this. I'll live with it as-is. The modification I may look at is to replace the fixed mount point with a a hinged version.

Good luck.

3 months to build it? Oh man. We ordered our WJ 3006 end of Feb. I hope they don't take that long for mine. Did you get double pane glass? We did. Not too many folks do. Be nice to see some pictures of them. I know they're sliders. Anyone got pics, forest river doesn't, anywhere.

Yup, my toilet seat creaks when I sit on it. My wife is too light to make it creak so we're ignoring it.
IMHO, that counter top extension is for setting things on that you've finished preparing or about to prepare. In other words, not intended for slicing 'n' dicing. We've used it once for serving hors d'ouvres.
Warning: Unless they've beefed them up, the drawer glides for the under sofa storage aren't very strong and the counter top extension is a bit heavy. Hence, it rides on the floor.

There was in 2014. The fabric panel is a drawer front on our 2604WS.

See post 7 here for a cheap fix:

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...at-131782.html

Here's a little more involved fix:

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...-a-148297.html

The expensive fix is replace with a model 320 - but make sure you have room because it needs additional clearance.

Investigated the fixes tried Gorilla tape and no change, heard the hose fix only helps a little.
I know the 320 is 2 & 1/4" deeper front to back but I need to know if the extra depth is in the back or front or both as we have room if it's deeper in the back of the bowl but we don't want it to stick out farther in the front. I called Dometic and they were no help.

Go to their website. It gives you the full dimensions of the 300, 310, and 320.

We owned a 2013 2604ws and I put the 320 in it.. worked great. When we upgraded to a 5th wheel we swapped the toilet from the 2604 to the Cedar Creek..lol..

We are looking at that model too. Does the seat creak/make noise when you sit on it?

By the way we found we did not use the counter extension and it now stays in the garage at home when we travel.

I couldn’t help but laugh when I read about the counter top extension. Mine is banished to the basement at home! I still amazes me how people will buy the same model of camper and use it in drastically different ways. Jay

Ha! We had ours for 2 1/2 years before I found the storage under the sofa. I think I read about it somewhere on this forum and ran out to check. It was like finding gold! I was ready to trade ours in because of the lack of storage. That sofa storage gave me just what I needed.

I don't think ours has storage under the couch. I pulled on it and it wouldn't open. During the PDI they didn't show us that compartment. I'm going out there to check again.

Our storage is exposed when you lift the seat area. We store a mattress topper, pillows and blankets under there.

Smile 2018 2604 rls

Love, love , love this trailer. Our 2013 floor had rotted right thru next to the bed. Had to replace and bought another 2406 rls. Many improvements but many disappointments also. Noticeably different is the storage. They removed so much storage in the kitchens area, two overhead cabinets over the sink, under the sink storage and under the stove cabinet. Cleaned out many things we don't really need but don't know where I am going to put canned goods and snacks. they also got rid of the extra closet in the bedroom. Bummer. But the layout of this trailer is awesome for us.
