New 2604ws on order!

Hello! Pretty excited about our forthcoming new 2604ws!
Any ideas where to keep the kitchen garbage basket?

Good Luck you will love your 2604ws. I have a 2018 2604ws that i picked up in July 2017, for the garbage can we use a small "trash" bin that I bought from walmart. The bin perfectly fits the plastic bags you get at the grocery story. For my wife and myself it works out great.

I also have a small bin that I keep in the bathroom, much smaller than the kitchen but for the bathroom a great find.

We have a small trash can that fits under the refrigerator door. does not bother anyone.
We really like our 2015. Just the wife and I. Best modification we have made is to take the original two rocking chairs and sofa out and replace with two lazy-boy recliners. One in the slide where the couch was and one where the rocking chairs are.

You have discovered the first of two issues most commonly faced by 2604 owners. We bought a rectangular stainless steel trash can with a pedal-raising lid. We set it small end to the wall, pedal end out, between the reefer and the stove. As a previous poster noted, this is your best solution on size and location.
Where'd you put the toilet paper holder?

Congrats! For those, like me, who haven't memorized the Forest River catalog, here is the floorplan that the OP has on order:

Looks nice. Hope you have a great time with your new trailer.

The TP holder in mine is on the right side of the toilet, if your sitting on it, on the small angled wall that leads to the door.

I put mine on the sliding door so it's out of the way until you close the door and have a seat.

I forgot to include this on my initial post but this is where i have my garbage for the kitchen (see photo).

For the bathroom regarding the toilet paper holder I did not use the one supplied (did not want to drill into the wall) instead I order this on from Amazon. Below the holder (link) I have a small waste basket I got from Walmart, its about 1/2 the size of the kitchen can

pfessak, Is that a stainless sink. Hard to tell. Not the same cream color as hours. Looking at the floor plan they deleted the cabinet over the sink. Did away with the sink being on a 45 degree angle and changed to shower to round instead of a 45 degree.

We loved our 2604ws. Pulled from Florida up the eastern seaboard to Canada and places in between. Pulled with a F150 Eco-boost. Loved that RV. Upgraded to a 5th wheel after a couple of years.

Look at this thread on a mod I made to the wardrobe closet in the bedroom..

Have fun..

Nope not stainless - some kind of resin material, not exactly sure the material type. Yes the cabinet over the sink in the 2018 model as been removed, they made a few changes between the 2017 and 2018 including changing the front external glass (nice look than 2017) another change was the closets in the bedroom where layout changes were made.

Over all we really love the trailer plus got it for about 15k off the list which helps.

My wife wanted the resin sink but when we ordered our 2604 a week or so ago they told us you can only get the stainless sink now.

Has anybody mounted a tv in the bedroom? Just wondering what FR uses for a backer behind the wall where the tv swing arm bracket mounts. I'm not sure what type of screws to use when mounting the bracket.

Sounds disgusting and painful. Keep your perversions to yourself.

We just mounted a tv on the wall in the bedroom in our 2013 2604. My husband said it was a metal mounting bracket inside the wall but he also hit a stud when he hung the tv bracket.

No problem mounting ours. I used sheet metal screws.

I have had a 2604ws for 2 years now and really like it. No problems with it that i could not handle. I was not happy with the swivel chairs in the back so I replaced those. Nice storage up front. Left front storage by the water heater a little cramped, but OK. Get a pool noodle, slit one side of it, and put on the wardrobe slide so you won't hurt your head while trying to get into this compartment with the slide out. ouch.

Enjoy!
