New 8280ws ...
Hi everyone .... we just traded our wildcat 27RLS for a new rockwood 8280 WS. we really like the layout and the leather lazyboy recliners. DW likes the rear kitchen. We can't wait to pick it up in april when all the snow is gone.
We are not new to 5th wheel towing and have made several trips up and down the east coast from NH to FLA. (and a few stops along tne way to visit the kids ... SC, GA,
FLA)
see you on the road ...

Welcome and good luck! We too travel up and down east coast. Mainly to get to southern florida each winter and then back home in the spring. I'm sure you guys will enjoy your new 5er.

Welcome to the forum. That 8280 WS is a great floor plan and I know you'll enjoy it.

We have the same 2013, 8280 Diamond. It has everything we wanted and more. Your going to love this FW. We went to Bayleys campground in Maine last fall, pulled great with the F-150 echo boost. We also, like to camp along the east coast, hope we meet up some day.
Have a great camping season!

Picked up our 2013 8280WS on 2/13. Moved up from a Spree 260RBS TT. Spent 6 days in it on our maiden voyage. Weather ranging from mid 80's to low 20's, pouring rain and sunshine. I think we tried out everything in the trailer. It is everything we wanted and more.
The dealer felt it was not neccessary to activate the Revolution hitch for my 6.5' Tundra. He was wrong. I took the trailer into my neighborhood and had to navigate a tight culdesac. Put a dent in the truck. :-( Thankfully no damage to the trailer. I activated the revolution this morning and pulled the trailer around for a while to check it out. I think it pulls better... maybe my imagination. Navigated the same culdesac with no problem.
I always heard that 5th wheels don't sway. However, we had severe cross winds on our first trip and I actually noticed some sway with the trailer, but nothing I couldn't handle. I may put some airbags on the trundra for a little more stability. I've seen that others also replaced their tires, but I think I will hold off on that to see how the bags do.
Our next trip cannot come soon enough! :-)

Congrats on your 8280ws
We picked up our 2013 8280WS Diamond package last September, we had to winterize it right away so only used it for a week. We've been in Arizona now since Jan and are loving our trailer. It's comfortable and roomy. We tow it with a F-150 Ecoboost with the towing packages. We tow with max tire pressure and installed Road Master anti-sway bars on the rear springs. We're very happy with our purchase. We wish you much happiness in your 8280WS.

Just the table, it's a little wobbely and is hard to fold and unfold.
