New Digs on the 5th wheel

Decided to scrap the Castlerocks, and go with the GY Endurance 225/75R15 this morning. $740 out the door. I figured it was worth the extra $50 to balance them. I went to a commercial GY dealer that is known for tire changes on Semi's. They did a great job, and settled on a tire pressure of 75PSI. Also took a run down Hwy 71 to try them out.
I'll be trekking south in Oct. thru Tenn., Ga., then NE Fl. and thought this was a good time as any to change them out.

I only drove it a few miles down the highway at 60-65MPH. Kind of hard to tell on a short run, but appeared to be a smoother ride/pull. And with an additional 5-10PSI would surely help. Hopefully a good investment for the next few good years.

We have the sister Flagstaff model 8529IKBS to your 8299BS.
I put GY Endurance tires on two years ago and I'm running 75 PSI in them.

I have been VERY pleased with the tire, the handling, and the investment.
I changed all 5 and bought an extra tire/wheel (for very long trips) and would spend that money again in a heartbeat if the situation deemed necessary.

Good to hear. I researched enough to determine it was worth the investment. The Castlerocks had plenty of tread life left, but felt the E 10ply was better to do now than later.
I'm going to take the spare in separately to have that done prior to leaving. Tech said any GY facility will re torque wheels after the 50-100 mile run. Also a good idea to have the extra tire/wheel. I may look into that as well.

Did they leave the camper hooked up to your truck when changing out the tire?

Yes, they raised it just enough off the ground to get the tires off.

New digs on fifth wheel

Ive had my GY Endurance for 1 1/2 yrs now and I could definitely tell the difference right away. 8200#Travel trailer went with load range E. Also put
Michelin LT Load E on F150 what a difference!!
