New Order Wait Time

I was wondering how long it takes, these days for an ordered Mini Lite trailer to arrive?

Dealer said 10 to 12 wks, last one we ordered came in around 8 wks.

It's been 7 wks on the new order, so we're gettin "itchy"... hoping to have plenty of this season left to camp in the new one.

Thanks!

Mine was 13 weeks in Spring 2015. Since they make them in batches by model, you'll never know how long it may take.

We ordered a Geo Pro G16BH in April. It took 12 weeks to get it. Just took delivery of it last week and are excited to use it!!

We placed our order at the beginning of this year, with an upgraded AC unit and extra MaxAir fan, and were told about the same amount of time as you were. it arrived in just under 10 weeks, so you shouldn't be waiting much longer for yours....still more than enough time for you to get out there and use it this summer!! Have fun!

I have an insight to this. I have never imagined this.

I am in Northern Indiana at a friends farm. In 10 days we have driven all over the place. We've both had trailers in the shop and we've been all over 3 counties.

I am absolutely, mouth-open, blown away, amazed at how many trailers are just piled up in places. Just yesterday we were going through some little town (New Paris????) and I saw at least 9 separate Transport Companies.......with acres, upon acres, upon acres, of trailers lined up........waiting on transport. I cannot even wildly guess at the number. From the looks of dirt, and grass grown up around some of them, then some have been there a while.

"Now Hiring" signs.........most of them Permanent........are on every building around here.

We are in farm country......miles from any town........and when going through the maze of back country roads, I saw about 15 trailers at some farm's side yard. Finally found an Amish guy that told me what that was about. This farmer has some deal going to store these, so they are shown as "shipped" on the bottom line.......and they'll be picked up later.

So they are building them. Maybe if you come up here and get it, and tell the dealer you'll just allow him the "free money" of not having to pay the transport driver, then maybe you can get it sooner. I dunno. But there is dang sure an issue!!!

I was told that if I got my order in within a certain timeframe, I would hit manufacturing on the spot for my 2104s which would reduce the production timeframe. Not totally sure that's true, but I've read that they produce a certain number of the same model at the same time and then do a different model. If so, then I could see it taking longer to get a particular model if you have to wait for the manufacturing schedule to get back around to building it.

Between the time I ordered my new 2104s and the arrival, it was less than 6 weeks, and that included the upgraded AC, slide topper, various options and an extra power fan with MaxxAir cover.

Might also depend on where you live. I am in Florida, it took about a week for shipping from Indiana.

I waited 7 weeks after order in 2016.

I wish they had taken 20 weeks.

Uh-Oh, that doesnt sound good...

What happened?

With all the different models they make, it would help to know when the model you order is scheduled on the line...

I truly hope they watch these boards and address the issues folks post...

I know with our 1905, I sure wish they would have spent an extra dollar and put something substantial for the screws to bite in to instead of just the flimsy wood paneling...

Our tv mount bracket inside had all the screws fall out, the control/monitor panel screws loose too...

Just sayin'

Ours had generator prep (a metal box in front storage is one item). It had "RUSH" written on it.

The next August, Cedar Creek spent between 8K-10K fixing things.

2 weeks ago, the next July, they spent another 10K fixing things.

However, I love it. It's been usable all along, and I think things are fixed. 85% of all problems are Lippert Component issues.

Holy smokes!!

Well, sounds like you are happy with it though...

We know the deal with all buying kinds of things like trailers and boats, etc...

Always have the hope all will be ok, but reality hits and problems arise...

Still, knowing all that, we cant wait for the new one to get here...

Hopefully wont be too many issues, haha!

We ordered it, for the dealer to install a Maxxair Deluxe fan in place of the crank up vent over the bed, so we can use it like a ceiling fan... Hope all that goes smooth!

We ordered a Roo 183 last week. Were quoted 8-12 weeks. Seems like thats the standard company line.

Isn't that what LCI stands for - "Lippert Component Issues??"

So how is financing handled if you order a unit? Is there a deposit required before the order is placed??

Same here; since I ordered a unit with a lot of options, they said I needed to put $1,000 down ($500 otherwise, supposedly). Balance due when I picked it up, which was required to be within 10 days of it landing on the lot.

I went there when it came in to do an initial inspection. I approved it and then they scheduled the delivery to be in a few days to give them time to detail it, etc..

If you aren't paying cash, you might be able to get approved for financing at a bank or credit union using the Buyers Order but you might need to wait until you get the VIN once your unit is about finished. There is plenty of time to shop for financing and come with a check when it's time. Otherwise, you can tell them that you want to finance it there and they will work with you. Good luck!

Same for us, we put down a $1,000 deposit when we placed the order and then paid cash for the tt when it arrived. Dealer said they would do the same thing if financing it also.

I was very happy with the factory order process....got exactly what we wanted and it wasn't much more than the base price at our dealership in MN.

It's In!!!

The 2109S just showed up at the dealer in PA.

8 weeks from placing the order.

Gonna pick it up next week.

Dealer has to put a Maxxfan Deluxe in place of the crank up vent over the bed.

What can go wrong?! (kidding)

I will post how we made out after we get it home.
