Only way I know how to check how much propane is left is to pick up the cylinder and feel the weight. You have to remove them to fill them. It's a good policy to fill them before each trip just in case

You don't have to remove them.
I've often had mine filled by just pulling the trailer to the station's big tank and they use a hose to fill both of them.

You can also use a bathroom scale. There will be an empty weight stamped on the tank, usually at the top somewhere. Bottles are usually either 20 lb or 30 lb capacity. Subtract the empty weight and it should give you an approximate.

Congrats on your WJ! Great model choice.
You can check using hot water, if your WJ tanks are like mine you should be able to do it without removing them.

Below is a link to a you tube video on how to do it:

Thank you for responses. The trailer is 35 ft long. I need to know how do I remove the tanks. They are 30 lb each. And enclosed in the v nose. There is a bracket holding them and 2 hoses attached. There is a knob in front of each tank . How do we disconnect them ?. There is no manual. Thank you
