New owner question

Hello all !! This is my first time in a club. We have just purchased a 2008 Rockwood 8313SS . I was wondering if anybody has any words of wisdom on my choice of campers? Any problems i should be aware of? Look foward to hearing any and all comments !!

Don't have that model or name brand, but I know FR is quality. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome! By wisdom of choice of campers, I assume you're not talking about your wife.

I was in a 8313 at this year's dealer's open house and it looked good. That slide on the starboard side really opens up the living area compared to traditional layouts. I haven't heard of any particular problems but of course there are a million things to watch for. Did you happen to choose the optional LCD TV for the bedroom? ... if I recall I was a bit concerned about bashing my head on the TV shelf at the foot of the bed. Generally I manage to bash it on open cupboard doors anyway, but would prefer one less hazard.

to FRF!!

Not sure if we're much of a "club" but we are a good bunch of folks.

hang out and stay a spell

ask questions and if we can't answer them we'll make something up!

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the 8313 is the equivalent of the KRSS.......I think you'll like the 8318 better for the following reasons:

1. The TV in the center on the 8313 is not visible from the left 2 positions of the couch.

2. The TV in your room will get nailed by yours or wife's head.

3. The couch in rear is nice, but if you have kids wjo like to "spread out" and play games, color, whatnot, the bed gives more room.,,,

There is one more thing, but I can't remember it....soemthing about the cabinets.....

Welcome to the Forest River forums and your new found passion.

I have a Flagstaff model, which are twins to Rockwoods and I have not had any major issues with ours at all. For the money the quality is pretty good.

Don't hesitate to ask anything you have a question about. Someone here can either answer it, or as Greg said, we'll make up one.

Oh yeah, now I remember.....the 8318 has a nice double decker cabinet in the corner by the door, where as the 8313 is missing part of it. The reason I know this is because I was dead set to buy the 831 KRSS (same as 8313) and went with the 831 BHSS (same as 8318) when I saw it for the reason I listed earlier in the thread
