Should be something like "weight of occupants and cargo should not exceed x,xxx" printed on the yellow sticker below the one shown above. This is the maximum payload for your particular truck which includes all of the options for your truck not in the base model the 1900lbs number is for. This number should be large enough for the weight of the driver, passengers, gear, fiver hitch and loaded fiver pin weight. The 11,200lb tow rating on the F150 is for pulling a flatbed trailer full of bricks, not for pulling a fifth wheel.

The truck doesn't know whether it's pulling a flatbed trailer full of bricks, a manure spreader or a fifth wheel.

Wrong. The height of our fifth wheels makes a huge difference.
I used to haul collector cars on my car trailer with gross weights of 7000 lbs, pulling with a 300 cu in 6-cylinder F150, in overdrive.
I hooked up my old 5000 lb fifth wheel to that truck, and almost killed it.
And I would never haul an 11,000 lb fifth wheel with an EcoBoost either.

It said tow rating, not whether you would could or would do something with it.

We are on our maiden voyage with the new 8289WS. Towing no issues, weight of whole rig within the GCWR with 2000lbs to spare. Pin weight is an unknown as of yet, need to weigh the truck by itself next time by the scales. The only issue is a non functioning smoke detector, the factory drove a screw thru the circuit board. The installed bike rack just didn't work out, too much flexing so the bikes where put inside the truck.
Looking forward to a un eventful weekend!

He is well within his limits with this fifth wheel.
And his camper doesn't have a 2300 lb king pin weight, that is his max.
That true pin weight will probably not be much more than 1800 lbs.

Calculated pin weight after 3rd time weighing is 1680 lbs. That was with a full tank of water. Without water near empty it was 1650. Tank of course is in the back, made no difference on handling with or without water.

This is off topic but would like to know - did the 8289ws co,e with awning on the front slider or is it an add-on? Our Flagstaff 8282rsws comes with a SMALL 13" awning. Prior Larredo had 21" so it's a big change.

Our Diamond 8289WS has a 9 ft awning over the door and a 8 ft awning on the dinette slide. We also have slide toppers on all 3 slides.

They are good looking rigs aren't they.
Congrats and enjoy. I thought serious about the Ecoboost when I bought my truck. They are nice.
