New Rockwood 2607

Last month we traded up from our 21' Gulfstream to a Rockwood 2607. http://www.forestriverinc.com/nd/def...series=7WideTT It is 29' and is pretty much perfect for the 2 of us. It has a u-shape dinette, a nice entertainment set, and a large bathroom. We have been getting it stocked up and ready for our first trip (which unfortunately won't be for a couple of weeks) but just getting it set up is better than nothing. One problem I have noted so far is that the trade-off for getting the u-shape dinette is that Forest River eliminated a large kitchen pantry. They have loads of storage in the bathroom but I think I would have preferred more in the living area. We will probably need to store food over the dinette but I know I will have some problem reaching it. We will need to figure that one out. We, nevertheless, can't wait to have our maiden voyage.

Hi, kaz1.

Congrats on your new purchase, and WELCOME to FRF.
The 2607 is a nice floorplan with lots of room. I'm sure there are others here with this same layout that have overcome the kitchen storage problem. Of course, after a few trips in your new TT, you may figure out just where to store item or come up with a mod(add-on) cabinet.

Enjoy the forums,

When we had our 2607 we found it had lots of storage especially above sink area as it is very deep and pantry on left of stove held alot of small items. I wonder if they made some changes.

We Upgraded As Well

My Wife and I just upgraded from a 2008 21 Roo RS to the 2010 Ultra Lite 2607SS. What a difference. We love the added storage and amenties it has to offer. Can't wait to try it out soon.

Congrats on your great choice! We have ours all loaded and ready to go. We plan on taking it out for our maiden trip in 2 weeks. Hopefully the weather agrees. May you have many happy trips!
