Just returned from our maiden voyage with this one, NC to TX and back. Upgraded from a 2104S. It is/was AWESOME. Just the 2 of us with random grandkids staying in and out at TX. Plenty of storage, great layout, best "hit" we ever took trading up. This one is a keeper for sure. I cannot imagine anyone would be unhappy in this thing. We do have the regular sofa and bought an ottoman/coffee table to go with it. I simply do not like theatre seating. Slept in it 2 nights at rest stops traveling, just popped the bedroom steps out and in we went. This is just a really nice unit.

Ottoman/coffee table details?

Hello countrywife45 - Glad you like your trailer! We just put a deposit on a new 2608BS last week. Writing to ask about that ottoman/coffee table you mentioned. We may be interested in something like that. Please reply to this thread with information on the ottoman you found.

For now I have this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1,

I suspect when the husband's hand heals (he broke it preparing the old TT for trade in) he will get around to making one for the 2608. For now, this works, and holds a 2 year old dancing, in case that is in question. My granddaughter loved the stage

Congrats on the first trip. We feel the same way. I have never seen a floorplan that just "works" as well as this one.

We had the sofa, but I wanted the recliners so we installed a RecPro wall hugging reclining loveseat. What a difference maker!

Okay, I do like the 26RKS floorplan. Reminds me a lot of the 2608.

It has the options I like - theater seating, free standing dinette table and chairs, entertainment system DIRECTLY across from the theater seating, fireplace, separate bedroom, large awning and no slides on door side.

The 26RKS has an exterior kitchen and a bumper bike rack! I would use BOTH of these options that the 2608 does not have.

I like it. It looks comparable to the 2608 in length and weight also.

That said, I would still buy the 2608. The 2608 has more counter space (much more) and this makes the trailer much more livable to me. We love and use all of that counter. The bedroom slide on the 2608 makes the bedroom huge.

I LOVE the big window in front of the 2608 cause it really opens up and brightens up the kitchen area. The 26RKS only has a very small window in the kitchen area, and that really restricts the rear view.

We've been backed up to a lake, creek and river and love the large rear window in the bedroom of the 2608. Plus, with the windows open we can go to sleep with the sound of the water.

Good luck with whatever decision you make!

I will be ordering that exact model of wall hugging theater seat recliners in an hour or so.

I hope your experience with RecPro turns out as good as ours. Ordered on a Monday and it was delivered on Wednesday!

The recliner comes in multiple pieces so it was super easy to install.

I have fell asleep several times.... very comfortable!

I have been speaking to RecPro on the phone for the past few days, nailing down actual dimensions, etc. I will call them again in a few minutes as when I spoke to Taylor yesterday he mentioned I could get a 5 percent discount. I will happily take that.

Ask him to throw in a couple of the RecPro tumblers. They're nice!

With the recliners all the way out, how much room is there to the opposite wall?
Getting very close to pulling trigger on the recliners.

Plenty of room to walk by.

I'll get you a good picture later today so you can see.

I understand that. We did the letting go of the money on Wednesday. The theater seating is being delivered today. I am giddy with excitement today. [emoji2]

Thank you! I truly appreciate your thoughts. The bedroom in the 2608 gives us room for our Rottweilers bed. Still waiting for dealer to receive it - we have the first right of refusal.
He said 2 weeks & its going on 4. It makes me a bit suspicious. Thanks again everyone. Love reading your experiences.

Just picked ours up last week. We love the big bedroom slide and the theater seating. We went from a Nash 26X which is the same floor plan with front kitchen.

Are you closing them with the pump running? They MIGHT need so pressure behind them to help them seal.

But I'm guessing they're just typically lousy RV valves.

Even caps are not great. I had to tighten mine this year as they were leaking.

We saw this Rockwood at the RV show and are seriously considering ordering it despite the beating we will take selling ours. The extra bedroom space with the slide is a huge bonus!

One question for you. It does appear you lose some of the exterior storage. Have you found that to be an issue at all when it comes to hoses, sewer hookups, lawn chairs, etc? That's about the only question holding us back! Congratulations on the purchase. We're very happy with the quality of these units and sounds like you re too!
We worried about losing storage because we ordered the free standing dining table and chairs. So far we are not finding any problem with moving everything from our 2005 24' Starcraft trailer into the 2608BS. The storage area under the bed plus the smaller storage on the passenger side are holding everything we used to store in the Starcraft with the exception of one large bin that we haven't yet tried to fit in as it contains "stuff" that we seldom use and can store at home until there is a trip when we would need it. The drawers under the bed are great. One holds bed linens; one holds extra towels. That is not even to mention all the storage space in the closet (laundry basket fits nicely, replacing my beloved "laundry chute" in the old trailer) and we each get two really large drawers under the closet. The pantry storage is great. I bought bins to hold food items securely during travel.

Love the trailer!!!!

Can anyone share the best way to clean the outside of the front window? After driving home from the Midwest, there are a lot of dead bugs on it. I am not a tall person so hints as to how to reach the window (other than standing on a ladder?) would be most appreciated. Thanks!
