The sofa bed and the swivel chairs stay put, never had a problem with the sofa drawer coming open. If you have table and chairs rather than the dinette, those chairs will bounce around quite a bit if not secured.

Never had a problem with any doors or drawers opening in my '09 8280SS.

Make the dealer show you switches for water pump, water heater, ceiling fan, and tank heaters. Have them show you how to winterize and by-pass the water heater. Also the water filter cartridge.

Made many mods, you might start here:

Delivery show and tell

Welcome aboard!

You might want to shoot video of the delivery inspection as a reference for later when a question arises for those obscure switches and buttons. And there are numerous pre-delivery inspection checklists here on the forum to help make sure things are correct and lessen the chance of missing something important.

Congrats. That should turn a few heads, back in England. Before we emigrated, I don't think I'd ever seen a 5er on UK roads. Was it a big challenge to get it all fitted out for 240v? Do they now have FHU RV parks? Don't ever recall seeing them listed in the Caravan Club booklet but that was a few years ago.
Hope you have a great time with the impressive new rig. Clarkson, May and Hammond will be tearing their hair out seeing you coming down the road.

Its a treasure trove, enjoy finding out. How are you going to manouvre this rig around the country lanes to get to the very small camgrounds that they have. I was just in the UK for a month and saw how small these facilites and roads are especially in the Yorkshire Dales. Even if you could get down roads getting through the gates to the tiny campsites struck me as impossible. The 230v issue is the small one.
Good luck. Its a good rig.

Our sofa drawer slides open every time we bring in the slide-outs. Nothing to do but push it back in. As you're facing the stove, the drawers to the right- the bottom one does not open without unscrewing the false hinge. That is where your water filter is. We open ours up and check for leaks every time we hook up to city water. Also when using water from the fresh water tank. Your hot water heater bypass valves are in there too. Your switches for just about everything else are on the main control panel. The switch for the electric part of the water heater is inside the access panel on the outside. It's kind of hard to find, but keep looking-it's there. The switch for the dinette awning is on the slide out itself. The inputs for cable TV and satellite TV are just above your power cord receptacle. Left is cable, right is satellite. On ours, anyway.

thanks for your replies,
there are quite a few 5th wheels in the UK now, but we find we attract more attention in France and Spain where we are the main attraction for the day, thats when you want everything to go right when parking up.
some sites are now fitting up pitches with full hook up, but are few and far between.
access to sites is down to research, but even though you tell them how big you are, you will always get, i didnt realise you were that big.
we have fitted a transformer in the front locker which supplies 230v + 110v.
the company we bought from fitted UK sockets [19 of them] so no problem there.
the microwave most probably not last long [our last one did 6 years] as usa is 60htz and uk is 50khz.
we have made a rack on the back for our 125cc scooter, so we can get around the small towns without the truck, silverado 2500hd. lpg/petrol
although we have the reese sidewinder, we have not had it set up to use as we get on ok as we are, plus we have made a bracket and fitted the spare wheel to the front hitch, freeing up locker space and rear bumper space for bike rack.
