New To Us Rockwood 8293SS

After searching for almost a year racking our brains about whether to buy something under 30' or over 30' (actual length) because of our driveway length, we just couldn't find a floorplan under 30' that DW was happy with. We like the Rockwood 2703WS but our budget won't allow a brand new one and there are no good used ones anywhere to be found.

We finally found a 2011 Rockwood 8293SS that we agreed was for us. It seems to be in excellent condition but we'll do a thorough PDI in early April after the snow has melted and it's warm enough to dewinterize.

The new-to-us trailer is 32' long - just a bit too long for our driveway, so it won't be in our driveway very much if at all. That'll make the neighbours happy. It will be stored at my cousin's farm (free storage!) but without having electricity and water very close.

For those who keep their trailer in a storage lot and can't put it in your driveway, I'd appreciate advice on where you wash it and work on it.

Does anybody know what that thing is above the middle marker light? I couldn't tell from looking at it. It appears to be some kind of cover.

Just an update.... we did the PDI today and everything looks good, so we signed the paperwork and handed over the cheque.

I've ordered a 12K Equal-i-zer hitch from RV Wholesalers and a Husky HB4500 electric jack (w/o the remote control) from Amazon.com. Both had the best prices on the internet. I'm having them delivered to a "KinekPoint" at Wellesley Island, NY. It's just over the border from Gananoque, ON where we have relatives to visit so it's not far out of my way to cross the border and pickup the parcels there. Everything had free shipping within the U.S. so it will be much less expensive than shipping to Canada (and paying brokerage fees) or buying it up here.
