Newbie
Hello all, we're new to the forum and just ordered our first TT. We just upgraded from a pop up and are super excited about some comfort.
Our new camper is a 2609w windjammer and we are grateful to be a part of this forum because of all the great info provided by it's members.

Congrats on your new trailer! We made the jump from a tent to a TT 3 years ago and haven't looked back. Two different worlds for sure! I kind of miss the tent, but when I can go inside the TT to the airconditioning & relax with a cold one and not have to worry about how long the ice in the coolers will last, I'm a happy camper! Yep, it was fun but its history. Many new campfires to you!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I too will miss the pop up to some extent, but not on cold and rainy days. We tend to look for more comfort as we get older. The misses won't miss the pop up at all.

We made the switch from a pop-up to a TT, not because of the rainy days themselves, but from setting up & breaking down on those rainy days! 
Now, what used to take hours, weather permitting, takes literally minutes.

I don't miss our pop-up, I can remember arriving at Bennett Springs after dark raising the roof on the popup and POW, broke the lifter cable on the rear corner. Closest replacement 150 miles away, was not the first time propping the corner with a branch.
We are very excited, since this is our first weekend taking our new to us 05 2701SS on her maiden voyage!

Congrats on the new trailer, I know how exciting it is as well. We had a severe rain storm last year and water came into our pop up at the corner of our bed at the stitching. Our feet got soaked along with the bedding and that was the straw so to speak that was it's undoing. Still, we did have fun anyway. I believe that with nature you have to have an open mind and adapt to the unexpected with a positive outlook or else stay in a hotel.

Thats sounds like our tent experience, left in the morning went to Osage Beach for the day, while we are gone, it rained, but only in the campground, not in town, we had left the entire tent unzipped, came back, everything drenched. I think that is when we moved into the popup.

Welcome, and congrats to the site! we went from tent to a hybrid. We are at Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora , CO. as we speak. Picked our trailer up at the end of January and are camping for our 6th time since getting it!! We have received lots of great information from this forum , so a quick shout out to all the great people who share their knowledge and experience. Thanks!

Congrats on your new TT! We are excited too to get our new TT soon. We are upgrading from a pop up and are very much looking forward to the added comforts of the TT!! This site is a great site to get info for sure.

This was a wise choice. We too 3 years ago decided to buy a tent trailer and it was a very bad choice. We had travel trailers all our life and decided to give up camping and have a house built near the waterways. 5 years after the bug came back to haunt us again with camping. So we decided to try a tent. Not long after we gave up and upgraded with the tent trailer and that also did not work. Then we sold the tent trailer and just bought a Rockwood 2011 model 1809s with all the goodies you could order extras and we are so happy now. It is the first time that we have a trailer with a pull out and we dont regret a bit this purchase.

We will be getting ours next week and it's all we talk about which is something considering we're going on a cruise the following week. I guess that campfires are in our primal genes....lol.
