OEM BBQ/Grill.....So Disappointing

I really liked the idea of the hook on the side bbq, but after trying it 1 time, I tossed it.

I tried to cook a 1" steak and it got well done in a short matter of time with no grill marks what so ever. No searing. That is what happens when the flame is super close to meat. It is only worth grilling hot dogs on it.

I bought a Camp Chef Explorer 60 dual burner stove and a Grillbox 30 instead. That way, I can cook steaks, bacon and other items outside and keep the cabin clear of smells.

Explorer 2X Two-Burner Stove

Professional Grill Box 30

After some searching, I found some fittings to tie into the OEM gas line for the OEM grill. No need for a bottle to sit under it.

Never will understand how you can like that thing after having used the Mack Daddy of camping grills!

That's exactly what I use. Only got the grill for the gas port

Nurek,

Where did you find the fittings to connect to the gas line? We want to connect our grill but can't seem to find the right fitting.

Ace Hardware in a backwater town of all places. :P

You will need to remove the camp stove hose/regulator if you plan to use your TT's propane. I got a 10' hose and put on new fittings.

No need for the regulator on the stove as it is already stepped down on the TT. If you were to use the stoves regulator, you will get no gas.
