Thanks all. I'm sure I will be haunting the forums with a million questions. The dealer said to allow several hours for his "training session" when we pick it up, so hopefully much will be revealed!

I can relate.
Just looking is a dangerous thing to do!

We have a 2008 Rockwood 2502 Ultra Lite and have loved it 4 years.
IF it had a slide in the main cabin, we'd NOT be looking for a replacement.
We've just gotten tired of having to pull our feet in every time the other
one of us wants to get from the bed to the bathroom.

Happy Camping!

Congrats on your new 2304S. We have had ours for 3 years now and no major problems so far. It's perfect for just the two of us and our two dogs One thing we did change this year was to get a heavier duty pickup. Although our Chevy Silverado 1500 could pull the trailer, it was always a strain even with the towing package. So we traded that in for a 2500HD Duramax Diesel. What a difference that made! Anyway enjoy your new trailer and perhaps someday we will pass each other on the road <wave>!

Such a lovely trailer, but too heavy to pull with our old, base model F-150, only up to 5500 pounds.

Drove into town, decided to stop by the Ford dealer "just to look". Well, you know where this is heading.
This reminds me so much of us back in 2006 when we had a 27' TT that we pulled with an Ford Expedition. Suddenly we found ourselves at an RV show falling in love with a Sandpiper Fiver and no way to pull it.

RVs can make us do crazy things - and yes, we bought the fifth-wheel, and then scampered to the Ford dealer for an F250 diesel.

Similar story....we have an '02 Durango that my DH was convinced he could use to pull our new '32 foot TT that we ordered in March of 2012. I was skeptical, but we didn't have a lot of options at that point.

A Wednesday in May, (3 days before we picked up the TT) my DH was in our local Dodge dealership to straighten something out with the Durango. It was karma - the truck we'd been talking about - used Ram, quad cab, running boards, low mileage, 2500 CTD, was sitting in the service area having its photos taken so it could go out on the lot.

DH texts me a photo of the beast and something to the effect of "it's everything we're looking for." Only thing is, we weren't looking. We didn't think we could afford to buy a new (used) truck AND a TT in the same year, let alone the same week! Long story short - we DID buy the truck; picked it up on Friday night and the TT on Saturday morning. We now have two payments, but we're living our dream and thats what its all about. And I get the peace of mind from pulling our TT with a truck instead of an under-powered smallish SUV. Life is good!

We just did the same thing....talked about upgrading for a few days and then went for it! Traded in our Chrysler minivan with a Rockwood 1910 popup for a new Durango (V8 with a hemi) and a Rockwood 2109S. Our first travel trailer and my first non mini van in 22 years We have only been out once but looking forward to some fall camping.

Heh...that bug bit y'all real hard! Well, I know how it is as well. We got our 5th wheel, then had to get a better truck to pull it. Then we traded that one in on a new one (current truck). It is a bad disease, but an enjoyable one.
