One side of slide won't retract

I have a 2006 Rockwood 8280 and one side of my slide will not retract. Does anyone know why this might be happening. Thanks!

Not enough Info but sounds like a (Shear Pin) in (1) gear on (1) side! Youroo!!

ok, if it is a shear pin, what would the fix be?

There is a timing shaft that connects the two racks.

The motor drives a screw in the center and the timing shaft keeps the two sides in sync as it moves in and out.

As everyone who answered stated you most likely lost a shear pin (broken or fell out) that ties the rod together. You might see one in the photo of the cross rod and the gearpack.

I found it! The shear pin on the crossbar on the right side was on the ground. It had sheared off. It looks like a simple bolt and lock nut fix. Thanks guys for your replies! Danny in California

The bolt will get you out of a bind but it has a shear pin for a reason. Shear pins are cheaper than gears.

Oops. I meant, another shear pin and lock nut fix. Mission accomplished and slide working properly again!
