Our 8280WS arrived today!

Our trailer arrived around 3pm today! PDI went well, no issues discovered.

We love the trailer. :-). Tomorrow I'll take the LP tanks out and get them filled, stop off at the county offices to get registered for tags. Install a the BAL stabilizers. Configure the Reese Revolution hitch. Take it for a test pull down the road.

I had a couple of concerns during my PDI - the AC was weak, and I couldn't find the water heater's 110v electricity.

The AC was resolved when I discovered there were four intake vents on the unit that were all closed. Opened those up and the trailer cooled rapidly.

I found a FAQ sheet in the kitchen drawer that I had missed with info on the heater. They put the switch out in the external bay door? Lame design. The gas and electric switches were side-by-side on the old trailer's control panel.

It could use a master light switch, too.

The power awning and LED lights are a spiffy feature! We have more cabinets than we know what to do with.

Congrats on your new Rockwood Signature 8280WS. Don't worry about all the extra space in those cabinets. I thought the same thing but my DW took care of that quickly .

Congratulations on the new RV, I just have a few questions, 1) Didn't they fill your LP tanks? on all the RVs I have bought the LP tanks are always full when I pick it up, 2) why do you need to install BAL stabilizers, didn't it come with them? 3) our RV dealer adjusted our hitch for us

1) RVW ships the trailer with them empty.
2) BAL Lock Arm stabilizer bars
3) The last time I let the dealer (local) adjust my hitch, they screwed it up. In this case, the dealer is in Ohio, I'm in Texas...I'll do it myself. I've read the instructions and watched the videos often enough.

Ok that makes sense on the LP tanks, I was just curious.

I do hope you enjoy your new toy and that you are a Happy Camper

That is by design to protect people from themselves so they don't fire up the electric element when the tank is empty. Mine is like that as well.

Configured the Revolution hitch and took her for a spin today. Towed well. I LOVE the hitch, I can turn a lot sharper with a tighter radius than with the old TT.
