Screws ripped out of mounting bracket. Any repair ideas? Superglue the bracket on? Thanks in advance.

How is the structure underneath? My dealer put a flat piece of 4" x 4 " steal plate between the bracket and the door. That lasted a season.

Eventually I put a 1" x 2" piece of wood all the way across and screwed the brackets into that. That lasted until I sold the camper.

At least for my camper, that door was not nearly strong enough to handle the torque of those gas shocks.

I see a couple of options.

Get something like this and drill through SEAL BOLT HOLE, drill to match plate hole..I would just use two and don’t over tighten.

I would add a new plate

Ps: it looks like if this joint don’t have it you don’t need it.

I had the same issue around a year after my purchase and I ended up just purchasing stainless bolts and ran they right through the entire door. Ill try to take pics this evening and send. It's a clean and functional fix that should last as long as I have the camper.
