Outside Shower Key

Today while winterizing our 2011 Rockwood Mini Lite 1809S I tried to open the outside shower door with my 751 key but couldn't get it to go into the lock! A light-bulb went off in my head that when we did the PDI we were told about a key to unlock the shower door. When I got the extra keys - sure enough there was two keys that I didn't have on my key ring. In comparing it with a 751 to the naked eye there isn't much difference but it slips into the lock & works.

Sure glad I didn't throw them away!

My 751 used to fit my shower door. There was an extra key with the tt when it came back from getting the sides replaced. I didn't notice it until I got home and no one had said anything about it, so out of curiosity I began trying it in the different locks. The new key fit the new shower door and, of course, the old 751 doesn't.

I have noted the same on our fiver. Seemingly identical keys, yet not quite.

Funny, when we were first looking at campers 5 years ago, Sweet Wife decided that the outside shower was the neatest option a camper could have, and therefore, our yet undecided choice WILL have an outside shower. Our final choice had one as standard equipment.

Ours has never been used. Not once. I open the door only to winterize and de-winterize.

I don't imagine ours will get much use, either. I did blow it out during the winterization process, but our typical camping routine will not likely bring it into service during the season.

Asfor the lock discussion, I'll bet I could distort the cheesy cover enough to open it without a key if necessary.

My hatch key does fit the outside shower and I would be annoyed if it didn't.
We have used ours several times. Rover hates cold baths and doen't mind the warm ones the outside shower provides. We have also used it when one of the kids stepped in a pile of poo with bare feet

I don't plan on using the outside shower on mine a lot, but if I'm @ a World Of Oulaws race (sprint cars) , it'll definitely come in handy. Dust gets every where. We went to Eldora in '06 & it's like watching a sandstorm in a toilet bowl .

the key for the shower is different than the 751. It is a smaller version with the top of the key in black plastic insert. Exactly like the main door but smaller. No ID on this key. We have a 2011 1809s rockwood

When I replaced all my door locks from www.ch751.com, (NOTE: NOT A PLUG FOR THEM! Its one of many places to buy "like keyed" locks ) I bought an extra tumbler for my shower door.
