Picked up our Rockwood 2606

We have her! Brought our new TT home, in the rain! Got her backed down our driveway....hubby at the wheel and me spotting him...got her parked perfect! Whew. New experience for both of us. We have rented MH before and so hauling a trailer and backing one down our driveway was "interesting" (hubby's description). Hubby practiced a bit at an empty parking lot near the RV place...but real life stressors adds a whole new dimension to the experience (traffic coming up and down our narrow road).

Excited to start our new camping adventure. Are there any more Rockwood 2606 owners here? Would love to find out how you organized your kitchen space. That deep upper cabinet is a CHALLENGE... :-) I have ordered some Sterlite plastic baskets to store things in and slide in the cabinet for now...

Might want to check you wheel wells for exposed luan. A number of makes have exposed luan in the wheel wells. If so, you need to seal it.

Congradulations on the new TT ! Soon those "Stresses" will be gone and you will be rolling, and backing without issue!

Slow down, take your time, and enjoy it !

Poorly sealed wheel wells have been reported by numerous folks on various TT makes. My Mini Lite had similar issues. See here for one thread. There are a number of others. Best to check and make sure yours is OK, or fix it if it's not.

Just got my Mini Lite out of storage and took a couple of pics.

This one is looking up into the wheel well. Plastic wheel well liner is on the right, wheel well skirt or fender is on the left. You can see right by the screws that the liner doesn't meet the skirt. There is plywood/luan in between.

Second one is a bit better, taken from the inside looking out. Wheel well liner is at the top, fender skirt is at the bottom (with the sticker on it). You can clearly see the bare wood in between. I've tried to cover the wood with clear caulk as best I could.

Get the camera for the trailer if you can I use it as a rearview mirror on the road and I can back within 12 inches of my garage without help ( I do use a spotter when available)
