Angry Problem getting warranty work

We purchased a new 2013 Rockwood from our local dealer. We noticed that the seam on one of the rocking chairs were separated shortly after our purchase. After bringing it to the dealer for service, we were told by the dealer that they found it strange that there were no inspection tags on either chair and that they were going to order a replacement chair. After waiting (9) weeks we asked the dealer for a status on the new replacement chair and were told that the chair manufacturer denied our request stating that the seam looked "dirty" from the photos that were provided.

We have made numerous calls and emails (to the dealer, Rockwood Warranty representative as well as the chair manufacturer) explaining that the there was no way that we could have caused the separation as it was obvious that the fabric separated on the inside seam and that there would be no way that we could have caused the failure.

Does anyone have any suggestions? We've tried so hard to be polite and persistent. Please help . . .

Good for you, staying polite and maintaining a good relationship with your dealer.
Collect all pertinent paper work from the manufacturer. Include transcripts, signed, of what the dealer told you verbally. Make sure you let your dealer know that you think he is doing his best to solve your problem (even if you don't, really) and you are going to help him get this issue resolved. You and he are a team united against the manufacturer. Make one last attempt with Forest River to put the pressure on the maker. If that fails, contact Trailer Life's "Action Line" and supply them with the info.

Good luck,
Teach

Life is a cruel teacher. She gives the test first; the lesson then follows.
