On the Rockwood 8289, does the propane switch automatically switch tanks when one is empty? In order for this to happen I am assuming both tanks would be left cranked open....or does one have to manually switch the lever over to the full tank.
As I understand, the red light will come on instead of green on the starboard tank. This means that tank is empty. The valves on both tanks must be on to continue without interruption.
Switch the valve to the other tank to remove and refill
It changes automatically for you when the tank the arrow is pointing at is out of propane. If there is propane in both tanks, the arrow designates which tank it pulls from.
Shows the tank on the left is out of propane
Shows the tank on the right has propane
