Pull out couch is not confortable

In the 2015 Rockwood 2703WS and the 2015 Flagstaff 27RLWS (may also apply to other models with the same couch) the pull-out couch is very uncomfortable. We tried adding a high quality thin inflatable mattress but it did not hold air and was not all that comfortable even when it had air in it. Lack of storage inside the trailer makes it difficult to get a memory foam mattress pad which would probably make a difference. Has anyone come up with a solution to this problem?

We have not. I tried to refuse the couch when we picked it up or have it swapped out. The dealer said no. We had some little ones sleep on it, and they did ok. I laid on it and it was very uncomfortable. We will be removing it and replacing it with theater seating. It's an absolute horrible design.

I may try a 2" to 3" memory foam to see if it will fold away with the foam in it. Still may not be enough but I still would like the extra sleeping space for when it is needed. either that or find a replacement that works better.

Do you have the trifold pull out couch without the mattress? I'm working through the same concern. I'm curious if a memory foam topper would fit in the storage drawer in the couch? What about placing a futon on top...but then you need to store it. Just a couple of ideas...

I do have the trifold pullout, the first part is the seat which does have a fair amount of foam. Is the second and third sections that lack enough foam and have a hard divider where you lower back rests. Impossible to sleep comfortably with all that.

Storage is the issue when bringing in mattress toppers. In the close position with the back cushions removed, one child could sleep on it fairly comfortable, but that is all it will accommodate.

Not sure that other pull out or fold out couches are any better.
