Question Rearview camera on my new Windjammer 3029
When we had our PDI on our new Windjammer I noticed a rear view camera on the TT. When I asked the dealer they said this is the first one they have seen with it and had no further info on it. He said there will be information in the owners material. There is nothing on it. Does anyone have any information on this or where i could get some? The attached picture is what it looks like on the back of the camper.

I contacted the Forest River Windjammer rep. and he told me that it is just prepped for a camera and that they are negotiating with various vendors for the upcoming new model year to have the option available to purchase or to have the option added for campers that have been prepped.

As of 5-28 your dealer should have a memo on them. They are made by Furrion and should cost about $375. I ordered mine today. The pdf is available on the furrion web site

Here is the pdf for the Furrion Camera. I had to wait until I got home to upload it.

GL1800 rider would your dealer be interested in selling a additional camera kit? My dealer claims he will get back with me and seems to think that mount is a vent. He made the sale and is no longer interested in answering questions he did try to sell me a system they had in stock foe 700 bucks..... Ugh

I just found out from the parts manager at my dealer that Forest River gave them incorrect pricing. The price for the camera is $475, not $375 as originally posted.

When you take off the cover the wire is there to attach to the camera. When I look on the inside of the cabinet I don't see the wire so it must go in the wall.

I almost fell over backward when I asked our dealer and he told me 'yep it's prepped for a backup camera and the full install would cost you 3 Gs'
I have a web cam connected to a wireless Internet router and watch everything on my tablet in the truck, cost me 100 bucks

I am wondering if they have it wired into the center post on the 7 pin connector so the monitor will receive the signal when you are in reverse ???

It seems the camera sends the actual signal wirelessly to the receiver. The pigtail would have to be for power and ground.
The wife and I have been using facetime on our phones. She stands at the back of the site and aims her phone at the back of the camper, I can then see the camper moving into the site.
