Quick question

Pulled the breakaway pin by accident yesterday, put it back in...question is is it reset once I just reinsert the pin? Do I need to do anything else?
Thanks in advance!!

Just put it back in, as long as it was not out for extended time. If out for extended time it will cause damage to the magnets.

Just curious there 'jjjandj', what kind of damage does it do to the magnets ?
Would there be an extensive heat build up and possibly crack the magnets?

Or ?

I have never done it but it can over heat the magnets and burn them up.

The magnets are just a coil of wire wrapped around an iron core which creates an electromagnet. If left energized for an extended period of time, they have the possibility to overheat the coils and may short out some of the windings. They are just lacquer coated soft copper.
