Rear storage door and running light issue

Anyone have a Rockwood 2608ws before 2013. Did the rear storage compartment push against the running light? can't even latch the door, the light is so much in the way.

Will post some pictures..

Well that's just silly!
I amagine they'll just add another latch.
They used a t latch on my front cubbyhole door on my 5er as to not allow door to open to far and interfere with slide out opening and shutting.
They installed in the middle of the door down low Eucharist makes the door not open as far.

I 'd bet the cutout jig was missaligned when the light was installed. Possible to move lite up enough to clear w /o exposing the wire hole?

I dislike those latches so much that I put gas struts on all the storage doors so I don't have to use them. You might have to make a spacer for the latch to get the door out far enough to clear the light.

Somebody goofed big time!

Sorry, I'm not laughing at your problem, but someone should have caught that at final inspection or at the dealer and corrected it.

Sounds like a cool idea. What brand of struts did you get? Assume they are like ones that you could use for a car trunk etc....

thanks.

Wow that is a great idea...
What did you use to reinforce the door so that you could screw it on?

Pasquale

Pop riveted 1/8" thick alum plates to the doors.
